Perfect for travelers on a weekend trip or those looking for a longer stay. Less than 2 miles from downtown, 1 mile from the action in 5 Points, and 1 mile from Shelby Park, this place is convenient to Nashville sites & a comfortable place to stay!
The house has a paved driveway that can fit up to three cars. The driveway continues to a fenced in concrete patio; however, parking behind the fence is not allowed. Inside, there are two bedrooms; one has a Queen sized bed and the other has a double/full sized bed. There is one bathroom with a full tub/shower....and strong water pressure! The kitchen and living room are an open floor plan with a bar top for eating. Each room has a speaker in the ceiling and the stereo system can play local channels, CDs, or connect to some smart phones. Out back, there is a fenced in patio and yard. This place will comfortably fit four people.
Wifi is available and guests are provided the password. Guests also have access to the washer and dryer if needed.
Interaction with guests
Guest interaction can vary depending on my availability and the desires of the guests. I'm happy to make recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. I like meeting new people, so if I'm around and guests are up for a drink, that sounds great. However, if guests desire privacy, I respect that.
Other things to note
If you do not have a picture or a profile created yet on Airbnb, I will ask you to create one prior to approving. I like to know about the person who will be staying at my place. Travelers of all types are welcome; however, my place is not "kid friendly" - as such, families with children should consider other options. My place is friendly to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, straight, queer, questioning travelers. I'm an intermediate Spanish speaker as well, if there are Spanish speaking travelers.
The kitchen and living room have hardwood floors, but the two bedrooms are carpeted. Keep all food and drinks in the kitchen and living room. All dishes used should be placed in the dishwasher before leaving. Please remove any unused open food items from the refrigerator and place in the trash can. If food is placed in the trashcan, please remove the trashbag and place it in the larger trash bin out back. Basically, I ask that those who rent my place leave it looking the same as it was when they arrived (with the exception of sheets, blankets, towels, etc - I will wash, dry, and fold all of those after you leave). I live in this house when not being rented out...please treat it as you would your own...if not better ;)
I am a native Nashvillian ... there are fewer and fewer of us every day here in this growing city. Having spent my childhood here, I've seen the city grow and change and am excited about the progress we are making here in the Athens of the South. I'm an avid traveler, having spent 8 years in the Army on various assignments and scooting across the country and sometimes, but not often enough, overseas. I strive to make my place comfortable for all guests and hope everyone grows to love Nashville as much as I do!
When traveling, I always take running shoes and shorts...the best way to discover the secrets of a new city is on foot. I also like to hit up local coffee shops and microbreweries. Connecting with local culture is important to me...and Nashville has a lot of it!
Let me know how I can make your experience in Nashville as enjoyable as possible!
