Praia do Calhau is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach on the island. The Avenida Litorânea that borders the beach is charming, urbanized, full of kiosks, bars and restaurants. Surrounded by dunes and coconut trees, the beach is taken by bathers and sports practitioners on weekends. The scenery is beautiful and very clean. If the tide is low, something impressive in São Luís, you will notice how much water “enters” the sea and how wide the sand strip becomes. The kiosks are urbanized and have good food structure and bathrooms. The Adventure Beach Bar is one of the liveliest and most frequented by young people and is 100 metres from our apartment. On Avenida Litorânea are also the excellent restaurants Feijão de Corda and Cabana do Sol, both tested and very much approved by us. Be sure to try the cushion rice with sun meat or seafood. At Lenoca Beach Restaurant I recommend the crab salad with boxed rice or bacon From our address, you can move on foot to all of these locations.
