Masseria Bellavista is an authentic 18th century fortified farmhouse set in the middle of hectares of olive groves and 4km from the Blue Flag beaches of Ostuni with 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, large private terrace with bbq with view of sea and Ostuni. Easy access to major attractions.
YOU ARE RENTING THE WHOLE MASSERIA AND NOT A ROOM

The space

The Masseria

It's an authentic fortified farmhouse typical in the Puglia region built in 1789. It's one of the few masserias in the area that can be rented entirely and not just by rooms, and it's one of the most authentically preserved.
There are 3 very spacious bedrooms fit for nobility, two with queen-size bed and one with twin beds. 6 adults can stay very comfortably, and it's possible to add two more twin beds (extra charge starting from 5th guest up to 8).

Guest access

Guest Access

Guests have the whole main building (2 floors) of the masseria , plus their own private terrace and access to all of areas of the masseria including the fruit gardens and the olive groves. Guests share only the courtyard with the hosts.

Interaction with guests

Masseria Bellavista is unique because the hosts live just next door in what we like to call 'the servants' quarter'. There's no direct access between the two parts od the masseria. This facilitates the interaction between guests and hosts; for example, when you need advice on where to go or what to do or what to eat in area, we are just next door. Think of it as staying with Italian friends who happen to own a beautiful, authentic and historic masseria (farm manor) in Puglia.
Of course if you prefer, you are under no obligation to interact with the hosts. It's completely up to you.

Other things to note

We strive to maintain the accuracy of the online calendar, but to ensure 100% smooth transaction, please inquire before you attempt to book.

The two hosts speak fluent English, Italian and French and some basic Spanish. Deutch in den Prozess.

Being in the countryside, our water is from the cistern, so it is not drinkable as is (but OK for cooking, brushing your teeth, etc), thus we provide a minimum of 3 x 1.5lt bottles of water on your arrival. If you think you'll need more, please advise us in advance. Bottled water are easy to find ans very cheap in Italy.

We welcome any pleasant human beings no matter who you love. LGBTQ friendly.

Absolutely stunning Masseria in a beautiful part of Italy. Giuseppe couldn't have been a better host, waiting up until almost midnight for our arrival following a flight delay and greeting us with wine, fresh cheese and a charcuterie. Throughout our stay Giuseppe was available when we needed anything, giving us directions and tips of what to do and where to go, but at the same time gave us our own space. It is a beautiful property matched only by the fantastic hosts. Thank you!

Thank you for your kind words. It's always a pleasure to know that my guests had a good stay at Masseria Bellavista. Puglia is indeed a beautiful part of Italy that a lot of people have not yet discovered, and of course staying in an authentic place with a like Masseria Bellavista only adds to the experience. I hope you host you and your friends again in the near future.

Highly recommended property for a nice holiday in this wonderful part of Italy! The house is fabulous, very suspicious and comfortable. You will enjoy stunning views over beautiful olives gardens and Argentine sea. It is very closed to the charming city Ostuni which is one of the most beautiful and cozy places in Puglia. Thank you Giuseppe for your warm hospitality!

We had a great time at Giuseppe's place. The masseria was just what we were looking for. A quiet place away from the noise of the big city and tourist crowds. It is surrounded by enormous olive tree orchards (I personally have never seen so many olive trees anywhere). The location, although remote, is quite convenient, close to both the Adriatic Sea and the historical white city of Ostuni, whose wonderful view, on top of a neaby hill, you can enjoy from the terrace. We also appreciated our host's hospitality and willingness to share with us useful information concerning places worth visiting in the region (plenty of them) and the history of the place. Last but not least, the weather was sunny and relatively warm even in the middle of November :)

Stay here if you want true, unpolished masseria experience. Giuseppe and Daniel go a long and hard way to preserve the authentic detail, down to the smallest interior exterior details and feel. Set in an olive grove, with fantastic morning sea views and evening sunsets with white walls of Ostuni in a distance. The location itself is very convenient - a short drive to the city of Ostuni (ask Giuseppe for the trattoria, bar and shopping tips) and about the same to the Adriatic coast and highway that connects main Puglian attractions. There's nothing fancy here, no pools and hot tubs but the stay and the attention to detail is what makes this a true gem for those who want to experience the Puglian home. The four of us enjoyed this stay - we felt at home and we owe the owners a big THANK YOU for that.

Thank you for the great review. As you so eloquently described, Masseria Bellavista is an authentic masseria from the 18th century. It has been restored with care of its original features while taking consideration of modern comfort requirements, all without turning it into another generic vacation home with a pool in the country. We treat our guests as if they're friends visiting from out of town/country, so it's always a pleasure to share the little things that we like ourselves. And even more when they appreciate it as much as we do. It was wonderful to host the 4 of you. Thanks again and I hope to see you all again in Ostuni.

I'd hurt my back prior to arrival and was late. It was no problem and our host made us feel completely OK about it. Directions were perfect! We were left with loads of information and recommendations and I felt comfortable asking questions via text or if I simply bumped into them in the driveway. We loved the home - so beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the grounds as well as the dirt roads to explore. The location was perfect and it was simple to get into town within five minutes or so. The home had everything we required as well as a nice bottle of wine and some snacks. The new bathroom was heavenly! The shower wasn't slick, which is hard to find in Italy! This was definitely a top-three AirBNB during our three-week trip around the country and Ostuni and Southern Italy were a favorite as well. I would highly recommend a stay!

Thank you for your review. I'm happy that you enjoyed your stay at Masseria Bellavista and that it's on your top 3 of Airbnb stays during your 3 week vacation in Italy. As you mentioned, even though you're completely surrounded by nature (14 hectares of centenarian olive trees among others), Ostuni town and the Adriatic sea are only 5 minutes drive away. I am also happy that you appreciated the new bathroom! We put a lot of thought into it, and made sure that not only it looks good, but also very functional. It was a pleasure hosting you, and I would be delighted to host you and your mother again in the future.

We absolutely loved our week at Masseria Bellavista! It was peaceful, serene, and the perfect retreat for my family. Our two young daughters and their grandparents loved wandering around the olive grove and fruit trees. Joe and Daniel made us feel very welcome, offering knowledge about the history of the Masseria and suggestions for activities in nearby Ostuni. The Masseria feels remote and private but is a very short drive to the beach and town. A week was just not enough time and we cannot wait to visit again soon!

Thank you for the review Maggie. It was a pleasure having you, and to know that your whole family enjoyed your stay. We always love it when our guests take advantage of the facilities and the space that the masseria offers including the acres of olive groves and fruit trees. We look forward to hosting you again in the near future.

The Masseria has a beautiful setting in the middle of the olive field and Giuseppe is an amazing host. He helped us with everything we needed, always came back very quickly, both before and during our stay. He also had the most excellent recommendations for restaurants, stores, beaches etc in Ostuni. Winter time in Ostuni is a little too cold for us, but we will definitely come back in springtime and summer :) Philippe, Cathrine and Eden
