A beautiful 1920s brick house one minute's walk to cafes and trams going past Melbourne Zoo and Victoria Market, with Brunswick cafe culture a stroll away. Enjoy a spacious room with bay window and a sunny back garden.
Welcome to our generous single-storey (3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom) house, art deco stylings circa 1920. Indulge in Brunswick's cafe culture, take the tram out your front door to Melbourne Zoo, Royal Park, or Victoria Market, or just languish with the magnificent weeping elm out the front.
The room offers high ceilings, a ceiling fan for hotter days, and a sturdy fold-out sofabed, comfortable for two. Bedding is available for a third person with a small extra charge.
We are on a convenient street, bordering nearby Melville Rd. Cafes, takeaways and a small supermarket are just around the corner, and two minutes' tram ride takes you to the Union Square shopping precinct.
Brunswick West is a Melbourne suburb 6km north of the CBD, and a lovely quiet spot in the greater Brunswick precinct. 15 minutes' walk or 3 on the bus gets you to hip shopping, cafes, and all sorts of odds and sods on Sydney Rd. 5 minutes' drive gets you onto the Citylink, with another twenty minutes to Melbourne Airport - perfect if you're flying in.
Getting around is easy - two buses and a tram line past the zoo and into the CBD are a minute's walk away. The nearest train station (Brunswick) is about a 15 minute walk, but a brief trip on the tram brings you directly to Royal Park Station.
You will have access to the majority of the house, including the kitchen, living room, both bathrooms, and the backyard. Make yourselves at home.

- Please keep the kitchen tidy if you're making something.
- To our international guests - Australia is a very dry country. Consider restricting your showers to 4-5 minutes.
- Help the planet, save power.
- No parties, raves, or loud conceptual art happenings. Quiet art is okay.

A self confessed classical music tragic, I live for music, art and cats! In life, I love the journey rather than the destination. As a musician I have travelled Australia extensively and know the country pretty well. When I travel it's to experience, taste, laugh, listen, live and work rather than look at stuff. As a host, my house is yours and I want to know why you have arrived in this beautiful city to help you make the most of your time here. I am passionate about caring for the environment and have solar panels for energy needs and chooks to minimize any household food wastage. I love food but like to leave the car at home when possible so live near the tram that takes you to the amazing Victoria market.
