If you like slow-living, you have to go to this lovely, peaceful place ! We've had a lovely time nearby the lake and the woods, there is a good grocery shop 5 kilometers from the house, there are lovely places where you can hike and bike, swim and go on 1 of the 1000 lakes with a canoe. (you need to have a car) Pernilla and Michael are always there to help, we are lucky that they share their lovely house !

It is a charming location, very peaceful and quiet. There are some more cottages nearby around the lake but you can't actually see them and it feels like the whole lake and forest is just yours! The fact that there is no running water inside requires some extra effort, but on the other hand it was great fun for the kids. Would love to come back someday!

This is such an amazing place ! Thanks for sharing your little paradise. We were with six people (from 12 - 48), and we all loved the slow way of living in the Swedich nature and the heartwarming welcome(and really good homemade muffins from Pernilla). Looking forward to our next visit at Hallefors!!!!

Both of them welcomed us with hot coffee and took care of every question which occured during the holiday. we stayed a bit more than two weeks with three little Familys and had a wonderfull time out. Hopefully we can make it back soon :-)

We spent two wonderful quite and peacefully weeks in this lovely cottage. It took less than 24 hours to get familiar with the old fashioned hot water supply and the oven. One small scar on my right hand will remind me. Mikael and Pernilla answered very quick to all our questions before renting the house. Mikael and his kids gave us a very warm welcome, when we arrived after a long journey from Copenhagen. They gave us some tasty muffins and had decorated the rooms with flowers from the garden. We made some nice hikes to the surrounding nature reservations and to the little Ice Cream Shop in Grytytthan. We had a great relaxation! Thanks a lot to Mikael and Pernilla. And please send us the Muffin recipe. ;-)

We have spend a wonderful week in Peter`s and Pernilla`s Cottage. We got a warm welcoming from Peter when we arrived. He showed us around, explained us everything and gave us some yummy Muffins :-) Peter has prepared a lot of fire wood for the oven. Thanks for that. The house is just wonderful-we thought about to buy it`hihi`. We have made some travels to Örebro, Filipstad to visit the Wasa museum/shop, Gryhyttan and Nora.As we had unfortunately only rainy days during our stay we have spend our evenings inside the house. We got a passion for puzzles as it is a great evening activity. It was quite an adventure to pump every morning some water, heat it up and shower with a pot. We want forget this. We also enjoyed going in the forrest and picking the last berries just near the house. Unfortunately we dont know any mushrooms-otherwise we could have made every day a mushroom dish. In the forrest next to the house there were thousands of mushrooms.

We rented the cottage with five adults and one baby and have had a perfect stay there. The place is really beautiful and everything was clean and tidy. Mikael and Pernilla were very friendly and welcomed us with tasty muffins ;) The communication before renting the house was very good and Mikael always replied quickly to our questions. They had even decorated the rooms with pretty flowers from the garden, which is full with raspberries (and blueberries in the surrounding forest). The lake that is directly across the dirt road (hardly any cars all day) is nice to swim in and was not too cold. All in all Mikael and Pernillas cottage is a simply wonderful place, perfect to relax and a good base for a little hiking in the nearby natural reserve.
