This is a response regarding your review on your recent staying with us and your overall comments.
First of all, we would like to express our apologies for any inconveniences you may have dealt with or the fact that -for some kind or reason- you felt misled by the description upon booking the property. We understand that people want to make the best of their time while on their holiday and we do our best to meet our guests needs. However, since in your comments there were several issues risen we feel the need to clarify them.
I can assure you that there was not our intention to mislead you with the description provided although, I am starting to believe that there was a misconception of it from your part. There are several picture of the property available (which I am sure you have checked before the booking) that shows that the house in located in a row of semi-detached two-story (or three- story) houses. If you were looking for a private villa then you definitely were in the wrong place and that was quite clear in the description photos. There is no mention about a “private yard” but only about a yard which you can of course access and use -as the rest of the residents or guests-. Your disappointment though, for the luck of privacy, didn’t stop you from asking to use your neighbor’s BBq during your staying.
Now, considering the complaints about the absence of hot water in the kitchen tap and downstairs toilet we would like to apologize if that brought any trouble during your staying. We take our guests comments under consideration in order to improve our amenities and therefore their staying.
Locationwise now, as it is mentioned the house is located in walking distance from the beach and close to local amenities. That means, that the property is located in close vicinity from the centre of the village and that makes it an ideal location when on holiday. That also unfortunately can result to some traffic considering that a popular destination like Nikiti is always busy. Since the location was clearly mentioned on the map you should not have chosen it since your were interested to spend your holiday somewhere more secluded. You cannot be close to the centre of the village and be dead quiet, it could be quiet but not dead silent, and since there road is in front of the house (as shown in the pictures) of course cars would pass by and dust would render on the terraces. The doors and windows insulation is not at all marginal with the double glazing. They were installed for that reason, to keep the warmth out and muffle the hustle and bustle during the busy times (which I am sure is one of the reasons you chose Nikiti, its popularity) of the touristic season.
As far as hygiene and cleaning services are concerned, again we apologize if we didn’t meet your expectations but unfortunately you haven’t met ours also. Our guests ,so far, have been really respectful of our house. Upon your departure we were disappointed to see that the house was left really dirty and in poor condition and not to mention reeking of alcohol, which led us leave the doors and windows open for a day in order to be inhabitable for our next guest.
All in all, we are really sorry that your staying with us was not as expected but we will take your comments under consideration in order to improve our services.
