Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Nestled in the foothills of Northern California, an independent Carriage House apartment rests on 20 gated acres with organic veggie and flower garden, chickens, orchard and fresh water swimming pond.
We offer a private and peaceful retreat from the cares of every day life with beautiful unobstructed views of the night sky. We are a gentle walk to Rollins lake and the Bear river is just down the road. There is a sweet country store nearby that can provide that important forgotten item.

The space
You are welcome to fully enjoy the quietude of the land or explore the lakes, rivers and restaurants of nearby Grass Valley or Nevada City. The Yuba river is often a favorite destination.

There is a great little neighborhood store just minutes away by foot. On the property there is a large organic garden, orchard, chickens and a natural pond for swimming, contemplation, or yoga.

I’m a Gardner, a Grandma, spent many years in India and a retired Waldorf kindergarten teacher. I enjoy the quietude of nature and have been a student of yoga for over 50yrs. I have two fur babies that bring me great joy and 8 chickens. I find living close to nature is an antidote for this time in history.
