Located along the historic Acequia Madre on the Eastside of Santa Fe, this classic double adobe (real deal!) exudes the charm and character of one of Santa Fe's very best neighborhoods with more than 400 years of history! The beautiful Spanish-Pueblo revival architecture with thick, hand-troweled adobe walls (cool in summer and warm in winter) provides the ambience of the past with modern amenities in 1270 sq. ft. of living area. Guests will love the access on foot to all that Santa Fe has to offer including: world class restaurants, galleries, museums, and foothill hiking trails. Historically the neighborhood had a system of acequias (irrigation ditches) for the fruit orchards, cottonwoods, and spectacular gardens of the area creating a lush and bucolic atmosphere unlike any other part of town. The Acequia Madre, "Mother Ditch," flows magically during the summer months along the property's north side as it has for the last 400 years. It is also on the main route of the famous "Farolito Walk," where gorgeous candle lit farolitos line the streets celebrating Christmas Eve. A popular coffee shop hangout with international publications and an independent bookstore await just steps from the property for the discerning traveler... The house has a modern radiant heating system with no cold spots and a consistently cozy feel.
Permit # (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). A brand new Honeywell portable air conditioning unit and a Honeywell swamp cooler have been purchased recently for the days when temperatures soar beyond the norm for the southern Rockies...
Guests will have access to the entire house with utmost privacy and beautiful outdoor spaces.
