We had a great few days aboard the well-appointed and quirky houseboat and felt very at home, pretending to be native Amsterdammers. We really enjoyed borrowing the bikes and exploring Amsterdam which is a wonderful city. The houseboat is really well-located in a nice neighbourhood, very close to shops for groceries, a couple of nice bars/restaurants and the Westerpark and just a short walk or a very short cycle from the Jordaan and central Amsterdam and all the fun there. We didn't meet the hosts as they were away but Annique provided all the information we needed and we had no problems. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Annique's home is a great place to stay providing a unique experience of living on a houseboat. Much lighter and airier than we expected, thanks to the skylights and big windows, with a bright, funky retro style. The swing-seat and the deck are great places to sit out on a sunny morning or warm evening. The location is a lovely, quiet neighbourhood but with access to all the city's attractions. We loved the easygoing atmosphere and enjoyed cycling everywhere as the locals do. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

Staying in Annique's houseboat was a nice experience, she was available to answer our questions. Living at the boat was funny, my kids loved to discover the boat and were very excited. Annique let you a full equipped house (She and her family lives there when there are no guests) the location is near to the center, you can reach it easily by tramway, bike or even by foot... in sunny days ;) Amsterdam is not friendly with cars so we had to park some far from the house and take the tramway to come back to the house. I would have liked to be in a warmer season as the boat is a little fresh by night. Overall was an excellent experience.

We had a wonderful week in Amsterdam and staying on the houseboat made it even better! We had everything we needed and it felt spacious and inviting. As a family we particularly enjoyed eating outside on the roof of the boat and the Museum passes Annique left behind were put to good use! We didn't use the bicycles, but that was only because we decided to use the metro and buses instead. The houseboat is situated on a lovely quiet street, in walking distance to Westerpark, the city centre and very close to the metro stop. We had a fantastic week and when we return for another holiday in the future, we would definitely love to stay on the houseboat again!

My stay at Annique's houseboat was great. We entered to a clean, fun, and wonderful houseboat. Unfortunately a large storm passed through before checking in and broke the swing upstairs. Nonetheless, the boat and deck were still lovely to unwind and relax after a day of biking and visiting museums (FREE musuem passes! Use at your own risk at the VanGogh museum however). Annique also very generously offered her bikes which we were very greatful for. I cannot wait to return.

We had a wonderful time! The children loved the novelty of being on the boat, inside and up top! They fed the ducks, watched the seagulls come down to try and get some bread too! The sounds of the birds in the morning was lovely, and the neighbourhood was lovely. You can walk into the dam centre but with children sometimes we trammed instead, which was also easy and a stop was near by! Food shops were near by, which made it easy to pick up supplies when needed.
