Our family home divided as a duplex. We live on a pristine tidal river that runs into Waquoit Bay. We have a private beach area, six kayaks and paddleboard ready-to-go into miles of protected waterways. ***New for 2017: Added two Riot Quest 10HV kayaks with dry bulkhead storage. 3 BR, 2 baths, laundry, Internet, kitchen all yours! We prefer weekly rentals unless a period is still available less than one month ahead. We find that guests who have time to enjoy the water setting are happier!

The space

There is room for eight people in five single beds and two queen beds in three true bedrooms, with two full bathrooms. We also have two portable cribs. This is a quiet location with great access to pristine waterways, salt marshes and sand. South Cape Beach State Park is nearby with ocean exposure. Two videos and additional guest reviews are available at Vacation Rental By Owner website property 373547. PLEASE NOTE: During summer season we prefer one-week rentals, up until one-month in advance when we accept shorter stays.

Guest access

You have the entire "7B" side of the duplex, ample parking, six kayaks, one paddleboard, library with local natural history, games, kids toys, Internet, HDTV with Comcast cable, land-line phone with unlimited US calling are entirely yours. No cats are possible, other pets only as allowed. Pet fee will be added.

Interaction with guests

You are in your own independent space. We are usually next door and guests find that a plus. See our reviews. We are happy to share some time if it works or offer ideas on great things to do in the area.

Other things to note

If your group is here to attend a wedding in the area or intends to otherwise meet up with others, PLEASE NOTE that in those situations some of our guests have invited many additional people to come over and enjoy the waterfront. The resultant group can easily get too large and some additional visitors then spend the night here. We cannot support large parties or additional overnight guests.

LOWER RATES are available in the off-season, after Labor Day and before Memorial Day. Generally, we start out by only accepting weekly rentals for the Summer. If a period is still available 30 days prior to occupancy we will then take shorter rentals in the Summer. An outdoor gas grill, small furnished patio, outdoor shower, and six one-man kayaks are available with paddles and PFDs. One of Cape Cod's best wind-surfing areas is a short paddle or car trip away at the south edge of Waquoit Bay.

We had a wonderful stay! Deb and Tim were the perfect hosts and were very welcoming. Their home is comfortable and situated in a gorgeous spot. We loved the kayaking, paddleboarding around Monomoscoy Island.

Deb and Tim are marvelous hosts. Their living next door is a plus as the interaction between them and our family was a definite positive. Plenty of room. Fully equipped for all your needs. As they provide some food via a welcome basket and essential spices are there so no need to bring these items with you. Shop after you get there. Kayaks were great. Toys for children abundant. Plenty of towels and linens. Clothes washer and dryer were perfect. Even an iron and ironing board. Only a 10 minute drive from Mashpee Commons shopping center Stop and Shop and Roche Bros. groceries, Marshals, etc. A truly great find at a reasonable cost. Give them a 10+

From the beginning and to the end, my family and I were very happy with our choice. We were moving down here so this stay was a 17-night temporary housing for us. Before booking, Tim was great at responding very promptly, much to my delight, albeit a little surprised based on previous interactions with other hosts. The location was very ideal! It is in a nice neighborhood, a little quiet and secluded but not too far from the shopping areas and main street in Falmouth! Tim and Deb were great hosts. The home was very clean, spacious and very organized. They have a lot of books to peruse and toys for kids. They were even kind enough to lend my son some bikes to try! Moreover, they also provide various kayaks which you could take to the water! Deb is also an excellent guide for the surrounding areas, both on land and on the waterways! Deb even took the time to take my family out to the dog park and kayaking! The area is very peaceful and it is a great place to relax and come home after a long day. Long story short: Location: GREAT. Home: Very spacious, lots of decor and very clean! Value: I was surprised it was much cheaper than surrounding hosts that are no even on the waterfront. Hosts: Tim and Deb are a wealth of knowledge, especially for what the locality has to offer. They have great life stories too and are very kind. They also respond very quickly and are very accommodating. Overall, my family is very happy not only we had a great stay, we also made great friends. Hope to see you around Tim and Deb! Thank you very much for everything. We'd love to stay over or have family stay at your home in the future!

We had a wonderful time along with my husband sister's family in Mashpee. Tim and Deb were great host and the amaneties of Kayaks, bicycles, toys and outdoor games made our trip even better for our families. We had plans to venture out more from the area but enjoyed the space so much that we spent more time there on the water and the beach instead. We would do this again if we ever have a chance.

We use Airbnb for business accommodations a couple of times a month. We always look for a home from home. We work hard and we want to be comfortable when we get back to accommodations, which is why we don't choose hotels. This was one of the best experiences we have has with Airbnb. There was a snow storm and Tim was out shoveling around our cars several times a day to keep it clear. He allowed us early check in, late check out - as no one was booked in either side ( it being early Jan.), and even offered to switch weekends if we got snowed off. As it was, it was perfect! There was even beautiful Christmas tree in the lounge, a gift basket on the table and chocolates on our pillows! The house was warm and snug, and we always felt Tim and Deb were just next door to call on if any problems arose. We had the best time! Thank you!

Tim was terrific. I rented this house for my son and his family during the Christmas Holidays. The following are my son's comments regarding his experience: "We arrived Christmas Day and the kids were excited to see Christmas lights and decorations outside. When we entered the house, we were greeted by a fully decorated and lit Christmas tree which made everyone feel right at home for the holidays! On the table was a nice gift basket with snacks and wine and clearly written instructions about the property. We didn't get a chance during our stay, but there was a fire pit all ready to go with wood in the back and supplies to make S'Mores! The house was great and the surrounding yard and area was beautiful. If you come in the summer you can go kayaking right off the property. The owners thought of everything. I forgot my toothbrush and they had new spare toothbrushes on hand. This was a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend the property and location to anyone!!!

I have recently retired, though I don't like the "R" word. We are now living on Cape Cod in Massachusetts and need to rent half the place to help pay the taxes. It's a great location! I will also want to travel at times, often with my wife, to visit friends or family, or do history and ancestry type of research in libraries, graveyards and such. Music, history and meaningful conversation interest me if people are up for it. My wife is allergic to cats and she likes a big bed. So I'll usually look for a king bed or two beds! Call me up for a chat if you wish.
