Our two Eco Baches are studio units, set within one larger passive solar designed Eco building, with views of organic gardens and ocean vista. We provide a diverse range of eco-accommodation options for varying tastes and budgets.
Our Eco Bach building is a passive solar designed eco-house. The building contains 2 x self-contained studio style units within.
The studios are open-plan with cathedral ceilings and north facing window walls overlooking our organic gardens and out to the Tasman Sea.
The building is simplistic but contemporary, constructed of natural and recycled timbers, earth bricks and a myriad of eco features such as locally made double glazed windows & joinery, wool insulation, natural oil finishes and bio paint.

- Queen size futon bed and single futon day bed
- Luggage/wardrobe area with full length mirror
- Fully equipped kitchen with stove tops, fridge, toaster, crockery, cutlery, pots and pan

Free Wifi Internet access is available at Solscape's Reception lounge and outdoor verandah.
Wander around our entire property and take part in a self-guided eco tour, join a surf lesson or rent a board and suit and head down to the beach, take a yoga class, book a massage.

Our Reception team is available during opening hours and always happy to help.
Other things to note
Smoking allowed outside only.
We have minimum night stays required over the busy summer months, which are:
2 nights minimum required in weekends as a general policy.
4 night minimum required from 24th December - 9th January.
2 night minimum required from 10th January - 4th February.
3 night minimum stay on long weekends (Auckland Anniversary weekend, Queens birthday weekend, Labour weekend, Waitangi weekend). 4 night minimum stay Easter.
In our summer months from December to March our onsite Vegetarian cafe - The Conscious Kitchen - is open for daily for guest dining. In the winter months we are open for coffee and hot drinks only.

Solscape is also a venue space for meetings, workshops and retreats. Our 10-acre property is nestled at the foot of Mount Karioi overlooking the Tasman Sea.
We offer surf lessons, yoga classes and educational experiences about our environment, ocean activism, healthy and vegetarian eating and a opportunity to meet people from all around the world who share our ethos for the world and are interested to learn more.
