Local recommendations
I put together a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map with pins and notes for local restaurants, bars and other places. Find it at: (URL HIDDEN) (“1040” being the zip-code of this area, if you were wondering )
Heat
There are electric heaters in every room. The big advantage with them is, that work very fast. So if you feel cold, don’t hesitate to use them. But also, please don’t waste energy by heating and keeping windows open at the same time.
-Bedroom (under the window) and living room (left of the balcony): find the on-off switch on the right side of the radiator. Adjust the temperature with the wheel at the front.
-Bathroom: simply turn the left dial to the appropriate head. But ATTENTION: you need to deactivate it again, so it doesn’t run constantly, which would be very costly. If you get in the bathroom and turn it on full blast, you’ll be nice and cozy within the minute! :-)
-Kitchen (under the window): same concept as in bedroom and living room.
Ironing board and iron
Both the board and the iron are stored in the first room behind the door from the hallway. A plastic can to fill the iron with water is also stored there.
Washing Machine for clothes
If you want to do laundry, here is how you do it:
-Laundry detergent is left of the machine – the big purple plastic container
-Fabric softener is in a smaller blue plastic bottle
-Fill the machine and close the door
-Open the detergent drawer (top left) and fill a cap full in the middle, big compartment
-Optionally: add a half cap of fabric softener in the small, right compartment
-Push the “EIN/AUS” button to wake the machine
-Switch to program 4 (45° color clothes)
-Push the “START/PAUSE” button
Dryer
Same machine as the Washing Machine:
-Switch to program 11
-Press the clock-button (the black one that looks a bit like a sun INSIDE (!) the black display) as many times until display shows the time you wish to dry for
-Be sure to have the machine only half full, otherwise it will not dry properly
Dish washer
If you want to wash dishes, or want to do me a favor and start the dish washer when you leave, here is how you do it:
-Left of the dish washer, in the cabinet below the sink, there is a box “Somat XL” with washer tabs
-Pick one, unwrap (!) the plastic
-Put the tab in the compartment inside the dish washer, on the inside of the dish washer door
-Close the dish washer
-Turn the dial to 45°
-Push the on/off button on the top left side of the dish washer door
Trash
If you want to throw out the trash during your stay, you find the dumpsters downstairs, across the inner courtyard, at the far left corner of the inner courtyard, close to where the bicycles are. New plastic bags for the trashcan in the kitchen can be found in the left drawers on the left counter in the kitchen.

Interaction with guests

You have the whole apartment to yourself, but we are happy to assist with any questions you may have.

Other things to note

Access
There are two keys. One works for the gate towards the street and the door entering the building. The other one works for both locks at the apartment door.
To open the apartment door:
1)The lock at the bottom needs to be unlocked by turning the key 2x COUNTER-clockwise.
2)The lock at the door handle works like any regular lock. ATTENTION: you need to pull the door handle towards you while unlocking.
To lock the apartment door: Don’t forget to lock the lock at the bottom by turning the key TWO TIMES.

Florian's place is centrally located and right in front of Wien Hbf which was great as I was traveling by train. Florian even accommodated the late time of my arrival! Overall, the flat was clean and quiet.

Communication with Florian was excellent. The location of the flat was very convenient - just a short tram ride away from the city centre. Would definitely recommend it for a short stay.

We had a wonderful stay. Florian's house is right by the main train station and it was so convenient. We enjoyed being a nice walk to the main city center. The TVs had cable, which was a nice surprise. The house was well equipped.

Really conveniently located apartment. With a metro station on your doorstep the city is very accessible and if you prefer a walk it is only a short one into the city as well. Florian was super easy to communicate with and was always prompt with messages. Overall a great place to stay

Florians apartment was centrally located and right next to a central train station which made getting around easy. The cleaner was there to help us get in the apartment. We did not actually see Florian but he had many amenities and helpful pamphlets in the apartment waiting for us.
