Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Hardwood floors and high ceilings make this space bright and airy. This is my home I share with my two children. My daughter's room has bunk beds. My son's room has a queen bed. I built a loft in the living room that has a queen bed. There is also a nice big kitchen.
Built in 1884 it still has a hand carved slate mantle. I also have a lot of art work & books.
Steps from the heart of Portland and Deering Oaks park.
A great warm space for your time in Portland, Maine.

The space
These ceilings are 9' high with plaster moulding accents. Hardwood floors warm up the space but it feels immense and private as well as warm and intimate. Built in 1884 it still has period touches, hand carved slate mantle, long tall windows, and a bay window drenched in sunlight. I have filled the walls with artwork and have a great library. Curl up on the couch to read or watch a movie, or step outside into a super food city. This is a great home base for your time in Portland, Maine.

Guest access
Help yourself to my wine and whiskey and anything you can find in the fridge. I love to cook and my kitchen is fairly well equipped.

My kids have left some toys for yours to play with and I have a great, at least I think so, library with a collection of photography books.

Other things to note
Although this is an apartment building, you won't hear the other tenants. They are all long term tenants and great people. Please take that into consideration when listening to music or making a feast for you & your friends.

Welcome. I have this great space, and I'm not here a lot. I'm still setting it up and more art and aesthetic will appear as I get the time. While this is happening, when I'm not here, perhaps you would like to be. It's a large, first floor apartment in a building that I own. The street noise is minimal and the restaurants and clubs are literally around the corner. I also cook a lot and there is a multitude of knives and cast iron that you can use to make your own feast. Then sit on the couch and watch a movie, Netflix or listen to music and relax. If you bring your kids, they will have some barbies and some legos and stuffed animals & an art table to play with. They are not mine, they belong to my children but they are willing to share. I hope you enjoy. There’s a lot going on in Portland and my place is close to it all.

During your stay
You are welcome here, come & go as you please. I'm a phone call away and would be happy to show you around my town if time permits. My kids have left toys and stuffed animals for yours to play with. I have a guitar and some typewriters if you prefer that type of toy. Other people live in my building, please be considerate, otherwise, make yourself at home & don't hesitate to reach out to me. If I am around I'd love to meet you. Thanks for staying at our home.
