We LOVED this house! We had 8 adults and 5 children, plenty of room and amenities to give us all our own space. Kathy and Leon were just across the field always handy to help if needed. It was great that most everything you would need was 10-30 minutes away and the house was well equipped right down to a high chair! The beach is also amazing, so much fun and if you have a jetski be sure to bring it!

Loren and Kathy, Leon's parents, were fantastic hosts. Not only did they provide a personal tour of the house upon arrival to make sure that we were comfortable, they went over and beyond to make sure we had a meaningful stay on the island - bringing by muffins and ice cream, helping us secure cribs and high chairs, and providing recommendations on day trip activities, and restaurants for our group. The house was perfect for our family and was a great location. They made us feel welcomed like family, and true islanders. We'd stay here again if we came back to PEI.

They didn't lie when they called this location "Your Favorite Beach Vacation Ever!!!" We were impressed when we received our PDF info pack of local places, tips, and tricks a few weeks before we arrived. We were completely thrilled when we saw the house for the first time. From our greeting and tour of the house to the morning we pulled out of the driveway for the last time, three picky women had not one complaint. Originally we had planned for a larger group but due to "life happening" it was just the three of us in the end. The house is big enough that we could have gone the whole vacation without seeing each other. Instead, we spent hours cooking in the kitchen, enjoying the stars while soaking in the hot tub and quiet time on the super comfy couches. The house is CLEAN. As a tall person, I usually see the dust everyone else missed like the top of the fridge or door jams. I couldn't find a spec. There are spare sheets, pillows, robes and more towels than you could need. Soaps, detergents, and all the basic supplies are also provided. We can't say this enough. The kitchen, pantry, and work space are a dream. We ended up cooking over 30 dishes while we were there and every pot, bowl, pan, tray, utensil and dish we could possible need was available. The one item we couldn't find was a cheese grater but if that is the worst we can say about that kitchen you know it is AMAZING. We had three heavy storms while we were there but minus a minor flicker of the lights, we didn't lose power once. The wifi was super speedy so if you decided you need to connect with the outside world you will have no problems. We were given contact numbers, backup contact numbers, email addresses and a drawer full of manuals for household items in case we had questions. We didn't have a single question all week, but it was so nice to know we were only a call or a few page flips away from any answer we may need. The views - glorious ocean views by day and a couple of million stars by night. The traffic - pure gridlock hit when a bicycle and a postal car were on the same road at the same time. The noise - lapping waves, occasional seagull and the sound of the wind. We can't wait to go back next year!!

The house was beautiful! It was everything and more than we could have hoped for. Kathy, our host, was very welcoming and helpful. The views from every window were amazing! It was a short walk down to the beach where we played all day, every day. The location could not have been better. You go across the bridge to PEI and it is a 10 minute drive. We were two families and a grandmother and it was more than enough room for all of us. It was a great spot for kids and we especially loved the hot tub. We highly recommend this listing! Thank you for everything Kathy and Lorne!

Our stay at the Blue Heron was really wonderful. The place was spotless upon arrival and we were greeted in person, with wine and beer! The house is massive and even with 6 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby, we still didn't utilize all the space. The kitchen was well equipped and we were provided the small necessities such as dishwash tabs, laundry detergent, salt, etc (a common convenience lots of places don't provide). Each bedroom had lots of bedding, extra pillows and even robes which were useful in the hot tub. All the hosts were easily accessible by text, email and phone and very helpful. Unexpected extras made the stay more convenient such as a high chair and the kites. I did notice a bike and a couple kayaks though those weren't used by us. All in all, we had a really great visit. Highly recommended!!
