My period cottage with double bedroom and cute courtyard garden is centrally located in Louth's most sought after area, directly opposite the famous St James church in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. With chocolate box views and seconds walk away from the superb Beaumont's Deli, 14 Upgate Restaurant, The Wheatsheaf Pub and a host of other cosy local pubs, great restaurants and artisan shops.

The space

The Cottage is a quirky and interesting period building in the very heart of the bustling market town of Louth, with a great independent Deli accross the road and a choice of good independent pubs within minutes walk.

The Cottage comprises of one double bedroom with views over onto the famous St James Church and its grounds , the meeting point for the Lincolnshire rising in 1536, and now home to a nesting family of Peregrine Falcons in the spring each year.

The cottage is most ideally suited for couples wanting to experience this part of the world in genuine privacy and a pace that suits them. The produce in this part of Lincolnshire is exceptional and is reflected in the care and passion displayed by the many independent food retailers and restaurants.

There is also a small pretty courtyard garden with a table and chairs, perfect for morning coffee or a late night glass of wine. Decorated with pretty festoon lights you can relax and study the spire of St James over the cottages roof.

Finally, the cottage is a great place to set off and explore The Wolds on foot by the many local set walks, many of which set off from St James church or by car to the coast or other pretty towns nearby.

Guest access

Guests are free to arrive at the cottage at a time that suits them. Entry to the cottage is via a secure key box giving you full flexibility, and allowing you to arrive a time that suits your needs on the day.

Interaction with guests

I am rarely in Louth when the cottage is available, so you are truly independent to feel relaxed in what I would say is a home from home, within a thriving market town. If you need any kind of advice on local amenities or things to do I am very pleased to help you at any time.

Other things to note

The Property has a current Landlord's Gas Safety Certificate and is checked annually. In addition to this there is a Carbon Monoxide Alarm and two smoke alarms.

Because of the age of this property, the stairs to the first floor are quite steep, so if you think you might have difficulty with these, please contact me with your requirements before booking.

For clarification, you can load or unload your car outside the property and the parking enforcement people in the town are pretty accommodating. Free parking is on Cisterngate (see map - it's the first road north of Bridge St) or paid parking is £3 a day on Bridge St itself (or free for 2 hours at a time).

Very good location close to all amenities, very clean and tidy, comfortable bedroom but chairs in the sitting room not very comfortable, so not so easy to have a cosy evening in. Free parking a short distance away is readily available.

Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. The place really is situated well we're it is a 5 min walk to the town but also lovely dog walking tracks leading right from your front door. A lovely stay and would again.
