Stroud is a friendly market town with an award winning farmers market. It has a vivacious and green outlook. There are various independent retailers and restaurants, as well as a Vue cinema and many yearly festivals. Further, it is a hub for comedy, with art galleries and events regularly. It is embedded in the midst of the 5 valleys. These provide an interesting medium to discover, with the commons home to the celebrated Winstones Ice Cream factory and shop.
There is easy access to the Cotswold Way and many lovely walking routes, as the house is on the edge of town. Tim is very knowledgeable about the local area as he has lived in Stroud his entire life, and we have put a selection of local history and information books in the room.
Stratford Park and Leisure centre is a 10 minute walk. There is an indoor swimming pool and a large outdoor swimming pool (May to September) , a great gym, squash and tennis courts etc.....

Jane provides a tidy facility in a family home in Stroud. The location is quiet and has a pleasant outlook over the garden to the hills beyond. The room was comfortable and clean, with very welcome tea-making facilities available on our arrival. Maps and other information provided helped us to firm up our plans for our short visit to the area.

Great stay, lovely house, but a bit tricky to find - you must follow Jan's instructions exactly. House is very nice and the village was amazing. Nice and simple breakfast.

The property is in a central but quiet position in Stroud perfect for exploring the Western Cotswolds, the house is a lovely Victorian property with high ceilings and many beautiful period features. The en-suite bedroom has a lovely outlook over an attractive garden. Breakfast was kindly provided and consisted of fruit, cereals & fresh bread with toaster and homemade jams/marmalade. Tim and Jane were both friendly and welcoming.

Jane and Tim are very accommodating. Their house is charming and inviting. The room is nicely presented with all the necessary amenities and a broad selection of breakfast options were made available in the morning. They were forthcoming with walking / running and restaurant options in the local area. I would happily stay with them again.
