Our perfect location in the heart of Hanoi and immediate proximity to Hoan Kiem Lake provides an easy access to all the major tourist attractions, boutique shops and street food vendors. 10’ walking and you can reach The Old Quarter, the central art of our local life.
This unique designed house offers 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a terrace and a petit green garden that gives you a chance to experience the colourful Northwestern mountainous ethnic culture in addition to a typical Old Quarter lifestyle.

The space
1. Super location
The house is located in the very center of The Old Quarter, just 2 minutes walking to Hoan Kiem Lake (100 m), and also minutes away from many other tourist attractions such as St. Joseph’s Cathedral (300 m); Opera House (750 m); Old Quarter & Night market (650 m); Women’s Museum (500 m); National Historic Museum (1 km); Long Bien Bridge (1,9 km); Temple of Literature (2 km); Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (2,3 km) etc
ATM machines, local coffee shops, souvenir boutiques, beer street and local street foods etc are also only few steps way.
The house is in a small alley so it is quiet enough for you to relax and sleep after a long journey. Never worry about your safety after a night-time outing because we are right opposite a police station and the street lights are on 24/24. A complete secured area.

2. Unique decoration style
Mountain Dreamer’s House, as the name it bears, was established by a Hanoian girl who grew up with a passionate love for the mountains and always dream of a wooden house up high in the mountains. And now it came into reality with the building of this cozy rustic Northwestern mountainous styled homestay.
Enter the house and simply feel the delicate atmosphere coming from the color and aroma of wood, rustic tiles and traditional handicrafts made from bamboo, brocade and indigo fabric and glazed ceramics. You will be surprised that the everyday items of the highland people such as hand embroidered skirts, scarf, drums, baskets ... can be transformed into such creative and soulful decorations within a downtown house. Green plants are present in every rooms, being the highlight for the interior decoration. The unique design of the house makes it the perfect place for you to explore and immerse yourself in the traditional culture of Vietnam. Additionally, our homestay is also eco-friendly in use!

3. Full facilities
The house has 3 stories, each floor has a bedroom, the 2nd floor has 2 bathrooms which are shared for 3 bedrooms, the terrace is on the 3rd floor:
+ 3 Bedrooms: Beds with standard spring mattresses, blankets, sheets, pillows. One with bunk beds; one with a queen bed and a private balcony; the last one with a queen size bed with a view overlooking the terrace that is full of green and lights.
+ Fully equipped living room and kitchen: Cable TV with Netflix, air conditioner, refrigerator, cooking utensils and a sofa bed with blankets and pillows.
+ Two bathrooms, one with shower and one with wooden bath and wooden foot bath. Dryer and a table set all available.
+ Rooftop terrace with open view, wooden table, bench, chairs, wooden horse toy for kids and a small garden.

4. Easy access from/to the airport
To reach our house from Noi Bai International Airport, you can catch Noi Bai taxi, book a grab, or inform us in advance if you need to book a taxi. If you want to save money, you can take VietnamAirline bus at the domestic terminal gate of the airport (fare costs around 2 USD/person/trip, scheduled every 30-45 minutes and runs from 5 am - 10 pm every day), the final destination of this bus is located in Quang Trung Street, just 2 minutes walk from our house. Same routine if you want to go from our house to the airport.

5. A charming entrance of the typical old town’s architecture
The house consists of 3 small, beautiful stories with a common gate and passage shared with 3 other households. The common gate is lock from 9 pm to 6 am so the key is placed on the TV rack or in the lock-box outside the gate. The common passage and pathway get you to experience the true local life in the Old Town. From the balcony, you can observe and listen to the daily dynamic activities of the inhabitants. However, there is also a high demand for keeping order outside the house at all times and inside the house from 9 pm onward. You need to climb up the stairs to reach the house on the second floor. The common gate and the room’s door are safety lock so you can check-in automatically.

6. Small notes to our guests:
+ The house is located on the 2nd floor, so when you go into the house you will have to climb the stairs. It also has a number of stairs with narrow steps inside, so when moving indoors you'll have to step up and down the stairs. However, if you have no trouble moving, you will enjoy the narrow stairs as a feature of the old town houses.
+ Passport presentation: In accordance with local law, we will ask you to provide a copy/a scan of your passport (photo page, name, passport number, country of origin) of all the guests staying (via email or airbnb message before check-in). This is a request from the government and to ensure our operation as a legal compliance organization. We guarantee that your information will be kept confidential and we sincerely thank you for your support. Thank you again for choosing us and we are really looking forward to meeting you. Your satisfaction is our priority!
+ Watering the plants: To keep our lovely green corner on the terrace and in all rooms, it would make us so happy if you can help to water the plants (and the plants will be happy too!), once a day in the morning (before 10 am) or in the afternoon (after 4 pm) is all they need, thank you!

Guest access
Guest can use the entire house, it's including: 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Kitchen, Living room, Terrace.

Other things to note
After a period of operation, we are very happy and thankful to be receiving many sweet, sincere and thorough feedbacks from our guests.
We are happy that the house is appreciated by many guests for its location, the design style as well as the welcome and supports from the host that guests receive during their stay. We will try to maintain and promote these strengths.
However, there has been also a few comments on the things that we sometimes have not done so well, such as the wet bathroom, or the damp blanket. We apologize to the guests for these shortcomings and will not let it be repeated in the future.
In addition, there are some feedbacks concerning inconvenience of the house for elderly guests. As for when going to the toilets, they will have to go up the stairs (for guests on the first and third floors because the toilet is on the second floor). Or for when going to the house they will have to climb the stairs because the house is on the 2nd floor. In this regard, we are very receptive, but we also hope for the guests sympathize because we are unable to relocate the house. It lies within the existing construction structure. However, according to our observation, the majority of elderly guests (more than half of our guests are families with 3 generations, so there are always elderly guests among them) do not feel that this is a too big problem. We were happy to receive positive feedbacks from them and it was great that many were still quite satisfied with the house. At the same time, we are very sorry if this has caused inconvenience for some other elderly guests. Taking this into consideration, we advise guests to consider this issue before booking if there are seniors in your group who have health problems or mobility problems, otherwise you can be completely rest assured that the house is still very comfortable for them.
Another problem is that the house has a lot of small and lovely decoration items that attracts small children. We consider they as small gifts or toys for them so parents can take a break while the children have fun playing. So we will not mind if the children make the decoration a bit messy or even break them because we have prepared to replace them if needed, and will not ask guests to pay especially when it is an unintentional error.
The above are some of the observed issues that may affect our guests' booking decisions and residence, so we want to show you all aspects of the house and we want to confirm that we will do everything in our ability to create the most comfortable staying for our guests. Look forward to welcoming you to our house!

As described, our house is located on Trang Thi street right in the center of Hanoi. There is a restaurant right next to the house’s entrance which give you plenty of food choices at reasonable prices. You can also try typical Hanoi style coffee by the pavement by turning right from the alley, the shop is only 5 meters away.

Hi! I am Ann Le (My Vietnamese name is Le Quynh Anh). I was born and raised in Hanoi. I love my hometown and for me every street corner, lake or canopy of leaves of Hanoi brings in the spirit of a long history with many ups and downs as well as many quintessences. Every seasons at this city is dreamly seductive. ‘Remembering Hanoi even when you are in Hanoi’, many of my fellows have this same mood. But I'm also a travel enthusiast. I have spent time exploring many parts of Vietnam, Southeast Asia and Europe. But after all those trips, my heart stayed with the land I loved second after Hanoi, which is the Northwest of Vietnam. The land of high mountains and clouds all year round, the terraced fields climbing to the sky, the majestic winding roads, the gentle ethnic minority inhabitants always keep me remember every time I have to go back to Hanoi. I have always dreamed of a wooden house in the mountains, small but warm and cozy. Bringing that nostalgia to Hanoi, I built this house - the Mountain Dreamer’s House in our small alley of Hanoi, for you- the traveler from far away, to simultaneously experience the two colors of the culture vary, one of modern emerging Hanoi, one of the wild and rustic Northwest. And who knows, the house will be an inspiration for you to choose Northwest (with famous tourist sites such as Sapa, Bac Ha, Ha Giang, Moc Chau ...) as your next destination on the journey of discovery Vietnam, or just simply a place to bring you down the memory lane. Wish you a happy and meaningful stay!
