Right at 1st street and 1st Avenue. Quiet apartment with beautiful southern light. I bedroom. Loft bed. Three flight walk up. An amazing selection of galleries, restaurants, bars within 5 minutes. Right above the 2nd avenue F train subway stop - very convenient.
I have a chihuahua named Puccini who is the sweetest little girl in the entire galaxy. Her litter box is in the kitchen.

The space

The city is busy outside but the apartment faces away from the street so is nice and quiet.
The style of the apartment is classic lower East Side New York Tenement building.
There is a Jewish bakery downstairs.
I am a straight ex-ballet dancer and I support all colors, creeds and preferences
Mellow home life.

Guest access

You have access to the kitchen, living room and bathroom.
I keep the middle shelf in the refrigerator clear for your use.

Interaction with guests

I need the bathroom from 7-730 and , 8-830 every weekday to prepare for work. I have a nine to five-ish job, and am around, out or nearby on evenings and weekends.

Other things to note

I understand the taxi from the airport seems expensive - however, if you take a bus from JFK to Grand Central it is $16 per person ($32), subway is $2.75 ($5.50) so $37.50 for 2 + hours of travel time (and no view). Taxi is $52 and so you only save $7.25 per person, get a great view, don't have to haul your bags up and down stairs and on the subway and save an hour of time. BUT if you are coming into LGA let me know because there are some super cheap ways to get to my pad for under 5$!

Puccini - she loves attention and having her tummy rubbed. Please don't feed her anything. Also she really loves socks and underwear so please keep those off the floor or she might pick them up and carry them to her palace.

Harper was very welcoming, and so was his dog, Pucci. The cozy space is plenty for a traveler, and it's in a great location close to several subway stops. I would definitely stay again the next time I come to NYC.

I live in a quiet spot in an amazing neighborhood on the border between the Lower East Side and the East Village.
It is not a party/ crash pad. It's a cool old building with history. It is mellow and my neighbors are interesting professionals (artists, bakers, lawyers etc.).
I have a 2 yr old Chihuahua named Pucci, who is an indoor dog and very sweet and very shy. She is very affectionate once she gets to know you. She doesn't go into the guest room.
I have a fun and stressful job in the Art world, lucky me. Ha.
