This lovely 2 bedroom is an easy walk to the subway and colleges. People from all over have stayed here, and they've often remarked how welcoming and unique it is. It's a great place to enjoy your coffee on the front porch, gather with friends on the back deck or share a meal in the open dining/living area. The street is quiet and shaded by trees, but everything you need (grocery, pharmacy, restaurant, coffee shop, bar, flower shop, you name it) is just a 5 minute walk away.

Guest access

The apartment is the entire first floor of a charming 3-story house including a washer/dryer, bath, and full kitchen. You have exclusive use of an open covered front porch with chairs overlooking the garden. The back yard with a deck shaded by a tall River Birch (which my three children and I planted in 1990) is also a lovely place to eat or gather with company.

Other things to note

There are window bedroom air conditioners

Rosanne’s place is both spacious and superbly equipped. We arrived after a long drive by car and Rosanne was there to meet us. I had business at MIT while my spouse and four children were free to tour Cambridge and Boston over four days. Her home is ideally located for walking to Harvard, MIT, or access to transit for downtown Boston. We even attended a longer than usual Sox game at Fenway one Friday night and easily returned by bus. A grocery story is only a few minutes away by walking, so we were able to stay in and cook, though restaurants are nearby if you want. Rosanne is a generous host; she made sure we had food for breakfast when we arrived and arranged street parking for us, which really made us feel comfortable. Her home is truly an oasis, being both relaxing inside and out. When we return to Cabridge/Boston, we will look no further than Rosanne’s place.

Rosanne's place made for a great trip. The place its self was very comfortable for the amount of people it fits, with plenty of room and nice outdoor areas as well. Rosanne herself was very accommodating with our group's arrival times, and was awesome in terms of response time via airbnb. She provided us with all the info needed (where to find TP, blankets, etc) and even provided snacks :). The unit itself is located on a street that has enough street parking (using permit provided with stay at airbnb) and there is plenty to eat and see with in walking distance. Boston is a cheap uber ride away. I saw plenty of public transport options as well.

Roseanne's home was a terrific place to stay with my family. We highly recommend it! Here are some details: The House: The cost was on par with most single hotel rooms in the area. But of course, it was better. Beautiful, spacious home in Cambridge, complete with all the basics you might need (laundry, fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast staples, etc.). The Location: In a lovely area of Cambridge, just off of Cambridge street. That put us less than a mile walk from Harvard, Cambridge Common, and the T stop at Harvard Square. The Host: Roseanne was very helpful and responsive all along the way. She even reached out ahead of time to ask what kind of cereal my kids would like to have while we were there. When we arrived, the table was set with that cereal, as well as several other breakfast items for our stay. When we had a small (but totally normal) issue at the house, she was quick to help out and solve the issue.

This was the perfect urban experience for my family of five visiting Boston for the first time. A 15 minute walk took you to the Harvard T station. My biggest worry was parking but it was not a problem. Rosanne was wonderful to work with.

We were so glad to have picked Roseanne's home for our Boston area visit. It was spacious and comfortable, with many added special touches. The neighborhood was lovely and a perfect walk to explore the shops, restaurants and university in Cambridge. We took her up on a recommendation to see Shakespeare in the Park at Boston Commons- it was fabulous!

Rosanne is a wonderful host, nothing is a problem for her. Her accommodation is excellent so comfortable. It is within walking distance to Harvard and Harvard square, there are wonderful cafes ,bakeries and stores within 10minutes of her house. The area is so safe and the locals are so helpful. All and all a great experience. We sure would love to stay again when we return to Boston. Thank you Rosanne

It's a great home at great location. Rosanne was very responsive and she suggested us some good places to eat. The backyard of the home is perfect for morning hangout over a coffee. Rosanne arranged everything for us by the time we reached. The house was stocked with lots of food and Rosanne asked us to use it. I would go again to Boston and my first choice to stay would be this home.

I have lived in Cambridge for 33 years in the same house (except for 5 years when our family lived in a Harvard Director's residence). My 2 daughters now live in Brooklyn and my son is in Hong Kong but they had a great time running up the front stairs and down the back stairs onto the deck growing up and often visit. We've always had international visitors living here (and still do) and hosted many student and community events I really enjoy welcoming people from all over the US and overseas and introducing them to Cambridge. The girls and I sing world music and we often have travelling musicians/singers stay here. In the fall , I plan to host some Group Muse events in the house.
