Loved the experience. The house was great! The amenities are too numerous to list. My wife loves the older older home, creaky floorboards, impressive decorations, and tons of reading material. The Bible from the 1800s and endless kids toys made us wish we had more time to enjoy what this place had to offer. The rooms were large offering plenty of room for everyone. There was some minor discomfort due to the 117 F heat index, but any house would struggle to keep up with that cooling demand. If you are traveling with more than 2 adult couples, be prepared to flip a coin to see who ends up in the smaller bed. The host mentioned burglaries in the area, but I felt very safe in the neighborhood. It is Philadelphia after all, city of brotherly love. We would happily come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Neri's house. Neri was very helpful and prompt in our communications before and during our stay. The house is clean, spacious and conveniently located. There is plenty of street parking and it is an easy walk to the train station (1 train/hr to downtown Philly, about half an hour). The kitchen was big enough for our two families to cook simultaneously. It was also cool and comfortable during the hot, muggy month of August. Our 4 children (ages 5-12) absolutely loved it. Neri provided many toys and games, plus there is a pingpong table in the basement. My youngest (5yo) cried for an hour in the car when we had to leave because she didn't want to say "bye-bye" to the house.

We searched high and low for a comfortable, reasonably priced place where far-flung family members could gather for a wedding in Philadelphia and Neri's home turned out to be the perfect place. It's spacious, attractively furnished and ideally located for easy travel into both Center City and suburban Philadelphia. The children in our party loved the playroom and its toys, and the adults loved the kitchen, where we spent most of our time sitting around a round wooden table catching up with each other. The bedrooms are big, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are classically tiled. Street parking was easy and the tree-lined neighborhood is one of Philadelphia's best. Bottom line: We feel like we found a gem and are grateful to Neri for making her home available to the Air BnB community.

Incredible home and helpful host. This place is very large and accommodating and is set in a wonderfully wooded historic area. The house is very close to downtown yet offers its own retreat-like qualities, with toys for kids and a relaxing setting for adults. Recommend nearby High Point Cafe for breakfast.

This is a beautiful, warm and interesting home in a lovely area of the city. My family stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Neri was an excellent hostess.

This is a, "they don't make them like this anymore" mansion-of-a-house in a, "I wish they still made them like this" gem-of-a-neighborhood. Minutes from downtown Philly, easy access (blocks) to the SEPTA train (husband made it to Washington, DC in 2 and 1/2 hours), on top of Fairmount Park and Wissahickon Creek for hiking / biking or fishing / horseback riding. The kids fed the ducks, biked the trails and had a successful fly-fishing outing at nearby Valley Green. Grandma enjoyed antiquing in Chestnut Hill and drinking wine on the front porch. U.S. History is EVERYWHERE and you feel it in this house when the floors creak. We didn't even scratch the surface of what Philadelphia has to offer because my kids did not want to leave the house - awesome boys and girls toys, and a swing set in the backyard. The house does get good car traffic from two intersecting streets; conversely, its a breeze to get anywhere by car. Also nearby is Weavers - an organic grocery store with everything you need and High Point Coffee - exceeds any coffee snob's expectations. Overall, a fabulous stay!

Neri's house is charming and comes with large rooms which were perfect during the few days our family spent in Philadelphia. One of them on the first floor is dedicated to children activities, the kitchen is convenient and the garden is very nice. Philadelphia center can be easily reached by car and by train (20 mn). Neri prepared our arrival very kindly and was available for any question . She even made the neighbours ready to help if necessary. In a few words, we had good time at Neri's house !
