Our modern, cozy and bright home is surrounded by lawn, gardens and forest. Relax on the front porch, go for walks in the woods, or visit nearby lakes and rivers. Visit charming towns. Build a campfire under the stars. Hike, bike or swim nearby.
Bright, spacious and open. Wide front porch, beautiful gardens, screened in porch. Plenty of places to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. Many places nearby to enjoy the great outdoors, whether you paddle, ride, swim, hike, or just want to relax. 90 minutes to the Maine coast and city of Portland.
Access to public beaches minutes from home. Plenty of area hikes from beginner to more advanced terrain on the Appalachian Trail.
Interaction with guests
I'm happy to answer questions about the place before renting. I'd be available by cellphone during the rental if there were problems. And I would leave a note about places to visit and things to do while here.
Other things to note
The house comfortably sleeps 6. Any more than that would need to bring an air mattress.
There is no dryer. There is a high efficiency washer and a clothes line for drying.
There's no cable but there is a Smart tv and high speed internet/wifi.
I'm a teacher and my husband builds houses. We have two kids and we built our home together. We love being outdoors and living close to nature, which is why we live where we do. My home is my sanctuary. It's where I get away from it all. You can see the stars at night and listen to the birds in the morning. I like to drink my morning coffee on the front porch.
The four of us are going on a month-long cross country camping trip this summer so I thought it would be nice to rent out the house while we're gone.
I think our house would be great for a group of friends who want quality time together or for a family--especially one with kids.
