Short walk to 2 metro stations, National Mall, waterfront, and more! The apartment is the full ground level of a rowhouse with one bedroom, comfortable den, private bathroom; minifridge & coffee. Separated from rest of hour with locked divider. Walking distance to The WHARF -- new development coming October 2017.

The space

This is a full, private floor all to yourself. Spacious bedroom and den with high ceilings. There is a washer/dryer, which guests may use upon request. No kitchen or microwave, but we have added a minifridge and coffee machine. Separated from upstairs of house with a locked divider (see photo). The den opens up to a small patio.

Guest access

Guests will have access to full, private ground level apartment that is separate from the rest of the rowhouse. The backyard patio is a shared space, but the interior of the apartment is private space.

Interaction with guests

I am happy to share info about the neighborhood and the city overall. Within the apartment, I leave a printed copy of a visitor's welcome guide that I developed for my guests. I respond very quickly to requests through Airbnb and can help troubleshoot any issues that may arise during a stay. Should your stay last longer than 3 days, I may need to coordinate with you so I may use the washer dryer in your unit at a time that won't disturb you.

Other things to note

I provide bottles of water and granola bars upon arrival (as supplies last). I have a visitor's parking pass that guests who drive may use. This means you can park for free in designated street parking spaces during your stay. Without this pass, you would only be able to park on street for 2 hours at a time. As previously stated, I do not have a kitchen, but I have just added a minifridge and Keurig coffee maker. The space is probably best for those who want to explore the city (or have business meetings nearby) and eat most meals out of the house.

Excellent location less than 1/2 mile to many attractions including the Smithsonian. Lots of extras included in the room so no worries about shampoo, soap blankets etc. Highly recommended for one or two people

Excellent place to stay. The AirBNB was located near the national mall and fancy restaurants. Street parking was available with a visitors pass, and I was able to secure a spot right in front of the unit. Everything was clean and in working order. The host even went out of her way to give us extras, such as informational maps, transit passes, beer in the fridge, and DC tour guidebooks on the coffee table. At night this place is very quiet and I was not able to hear outside noise. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood, and utilized the city's vast bikeshare system to go everywhere. Before you leave make sure to order breakfast from Bethesda Bagels via UberEats.

The place is in a very nice neighborhood. The host is efficient, organized, quite and has written a great guidance for travlers. It was precise, informative and we'll thought out. Access to the metro was very convenient. The cleanliness of the place was topnotch. I would stay there again.

This is a great getaway. Private, quiet, very close to museums and monuments (less than a mile walk). Easy check-in and comfortable. Sara is a gracious host.

I've lived in Washington, DC for several years and can offer recommendations regarding restaurants, and sites to see, if desired. I also love to travel and enjoy both hosting and staying at Airbnb locations.
