I absolutely recommend this house! We spent a weekend here and it was like a dream! The garden is one of a kind. Okan was an amazing host, very caring and kind. The house was super comfy, very clean, and there is absolutely anything you need (yoga mat? No problem!) We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Okan's place was lovely, clean and super comfortable. The house is located in one of the best little villages in the Northern Aegean, Okan and his family created a wonderful space with a garden that is great to chill out in on days you don't want to go to the beach. As a host, Okan was very accommodating, kind and tentative. He filled the fridge with local goodies such as sheep's cheese, tomatoes and eggs. Although he doesn't live on the property, he was over everyday offering us advice on where to go, and what to do. Overall this trip was wonderful, and Okan had a big part to play in it.

We really had an incredible time :) relaxing natural life, amazing, lovely, peaceful environment, helpful and hospitable neighbours, real Aegean village.. We found organic food such as; natural cheese, butter, olive oil , etc.. very easily from our helpful neighbours :) We collected and planted fresh vegetables, it was very very relaxing.. We saw new born goat and lamb, for the 1st time in our lives :) The garden was quite and sunny, very suitable environment for Yoga ;) Houseowner has thought every detail, especially the filter coffee machine was very useful for us.. A golden opportunity of living the comfort of boutique hotel while experiencing a natural stone house.. House was really tidy, clean, comfortable, warm, lovely, decoration was interesting and comfortable, we found everything we need.. We felt as if it is our own house :) This holiday took us away from crowded and noisy city life and stress.. Now, we are planning to come again in Summer. I really suggest to every one :) Come and stay here ! Forget everything, just be the part of nature and live the natural life.. Thank you houseowner to provide us living this unforgettable experience. We felt in love to your house and your village :) See you in Summer..

If you're looking for a place to unwind and relax this is exactly the place to go! Okan is very responding and helpful, he was always at the other end of the phone when we needed something. The house is the most "complete" house i have ever stayed until now. It is visible that Okan thought about every single detail about what might a guest need, and provided all of it. The garden is beautiful, some part of it is always in shade so you can use it all day long. The house is big enough for two couples with children. Needless to say everything was very clean and orderly. The village is a tiny one, so if you want to get away from civilization and be in the nature, this is a great chance!

I've previously rented many houses through sites like this but I can honestly say this was my best experience so far. Balabanli, is a beautiful little village full of kind hearted, hospitable people. It's also really close to the historic sites in the area and the coast where you can have a swim. Okan's house is exceptional: an old stone house, renovated and furnished marvelously. It is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, the house overall is very well equipped, filled with everything you may need. There was even a basket of organic eggs and cheese in the fridge when we had arrived! My favorite spot in the house, the hammock in the corner of the garden; close your eyes, feel the breeze, grab a book and just relax! Okan is a wonderful and considerate host, always easy to get in touch with. Overall every aspect of our stay at this house was perfect. Thanks again for everything Okan! Hopefully we'll come back for another stay.

The beautiful stone house is situated in small authentic Turkish village. The house is very comfortable. It has actually three bedrooms with comfortable beds and bed for child. There's a cool room with divans. The kitchen is well -equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils. When we arrived we found refrigerator with very delicious home-made sheep cheese, cans of beers and cola, eggs, vegetables and even pack of goat milk for our daughter. We appreciated it after long journey. The house has a roof room with additional bedroom, shower, refrigerator and air-conditioner. There is lovely garden with cozy pavilion, where we had breakfast and dinner. All house is well-designed. There are many lovely things- decorated pots, vase, Turkish lighters and etc. It creates unforgettable atmosphere. There are nice beaches nearby-pebbly and sandy beaches. You can reach them by car easily. We went there by foot and enjoyed picturesque landscape. We met turtles and turkeys. Also there are some sightseeing near Balabanli -Assos, Alexandria Troas, Troya, Boscaada. If you want to spend your time in peaceful place, enjoy natural life and see ancient Greek cities-Okan's house is the best place for it! Okan is the best host who I ever knew! His hospitality is boundless! He is very considerate and tactful host. He even thought over how to entertain our daughter! She was very happy to paint the ceramics and stones. It was very touchable to find out gifts, which Okan had left for us! He gave us beautiful souvenirs, but only staying in his home and meeting such people as Okan is the great gift! I won't forget the warm farewell evening party, delicious barbecue (the best barbecue I've ever tried) and coffee which Okan made for us!! Thank you, Okan! It was unforgettable experience!

Okan, and the whole village, were fantastic hosts. We booked at short notice and he responded immediately. And although he couldn't meet us there in person he arranged for a neighbour to meet us. We arrived late in the evening to a local welcoming party, who greeted us warmly and even had gifts of local cheese and eggs. Okan kept in touch, but not intrusively, to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay, even giving us tips for our next stop in Istanbul. The house, clean, tidy and comfortable, is situated in a small traditional rural village, from where you get a sense of the rhythm of Turkish village life. A traditional home with all the modern conveniences that you would need, with a fabulous rear garden with a variety of comfortable seating/lounging areas - a real sun trap with fresh fruit and veg growing. This is a family (holiday) home that gives you an opportunity to experience the authentic Turkey. The village sits along a high road, off which are roads down to a variety of beaches and small harbours (liman), most with local cafes and restaurants. You definitely need a car to access the beaches, unless you fancy a steep climb home! We used the village as a base to explore the local area, unspoilt by mass tourism, which is full of charm, ruins, stunning views/sunsets and stoney beaches with crystal clear waters. The snorkeling set in the house was the perfect accessory! We would highly recommend spending some time finding the real Turkey in this beautiful traditional home in a very friendly and welcoming village. Hope to come back one day.
