We stayed at Giovi's for four nights in the height of summer and it was lovely. The four of us arrived and tossed a coin to decide who got the room with aircon inside and who got the ensuite. Both were lovely and everyone was satisfied with their rooms. The location is perfect, very close to many lovely restaurants and also close to many of the major attractions in Rome. Despite its prime location it was also delightfully quiet, a nice sanctuary from the busy streets and stalls in the middle of the hot days (also the aircon was a life saver). Allan (Giovi's housekeeper) met the other couple on their arrival and explained what needed explaining and all four of us had a lovely time. Giovi was also very accommodating with check out times, we had booked late flights but he said that as there was no immediate booking after us we could leave later in the day without causing any difficulties rather than spending a half day in the Rome airport! Overall it was a lovely stay, great apartment and a fantastic location, couldn't be happier!
Our host Giovi arranged for a friend Alex to meet us who was absolutely great. The apartment was superb just as described and the neighbourhood could not of been better. A fantastic family run restaurant a few doors away with the most delicious food. A short walk, at most 5 to 10 minutes to the Piazza Novona and many local bars and restaurants and a morning market in the local Pizza. Utterly brilliant. The pictures on the website don't prepare you for how large the apartment actually is and that means a family of 4 like us were very happy indeed.
Giovanna's house is simply perfect. At one minute from Campo dei Fiori and three minutes from Piazza Navona, the location couldn't be better. You can go walking everywhere. The decoration of the appartment is stylish and elegant, Giovi's taste is exquisite. It is much better than you can see in the pictures. We were five people and we have felt like at our own home. Giovi provided us with all necessary things and she allways paid attention to us. I really recommend Goiovi's house. I can hardly imagine a better place to stay in the beautiful Rome. The experience has been absolutely excellent.
Giovi was great to work with and responded very quickly to my questions. The apartment is in a fantastic central location, all Ancient Roman sights are within walking distance. Also many shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment itself was very (URL HIDDEN) was very hot during our stay and the apartment air worked very well. I would stay here again! Thanks Giovi!
Response from Giovi:
Thank you for you words! I just want to specify that the bedrooms are 3 but 1 is for children. That's why was locked . When we have hosts with babies we open it. In my profile you can see the picture of that room. About Allan, he do the best he can. He probably do not speak English very well but in Italy not very much people speak your language .
It was a nice stay overall. The home is at a great location, and it had mostly everything we needed. We had a comfortable stay here. There was one thing that I like to let future guests know. During the last night of our stay, the power went off after mid-night. It was a hot summer night and we had 2 air conditioners on and some lights on too. Obviously some circuit breaker was triggered. However we could not find out where the power panel was. I did not want to wake the host up after mid-night, so we lived without power. But this also meant that we had to deal with our last morning here without hot water for shower, and without electricity. This was not the host's fault and I did not contact Giovi at the time when this happened, since it was almost 2 AM. It is also understandable that this may happen. But if you plan to stay here at the peak of the summer, you may want to inquire about what to do if circuit breaker is triggered.
Response from Giovi:
This was appended because there were too much light on with the conditioner. In Italy we have just 3 KW of energy, not more. But why don't' you called me? I have always the cell phone on for the emergency. Next please call me, I could explain how to resolve in 2 minutes.
