Beautiful master bedroom with queen bed and private bath. Enjoy the many common spaces, inside and out. There is central a/c for the warm summer months and a cozy fireplace in the winter. ***The space is best suited for females only***

The space

The house includes many historic touches that you would expect in a 1920s Portland bungalow, but has been nicely updated. The guest bedroom/private bath are on the main floor while my bedroom and another bath are upstairs, ensuring good separation. There is a comfortable queen bed with side tables, large dresser, and closet. The bathroom has a tub with shower.

The living room is a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring and the kitchen is perfect for cooking and socializing. The backyard is a beautiful oasis and there is an inviting front porch swing as well. Curl up by the fire in the comfy living room in the winter.

A friendly cat named Natasha lives at the house in case of any allergies.

Guest access

If I'm not home when you arrive I can leave a key in a lock box for easy access.

Other things to note

I have a friendly, playful cat living at the house.

Jana’s place was comfortable, clean, cozy and beautiful! She was an awesome host, gave me lot of tips for my visit to Portland. Her energy is so great you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s. This will be my go to Airbnb in Portland.

I loved my stay at Jana's. From my initial booking to check-in and learning about places to eat, it was just so easy. Jana is very warm, kind and friendly. The space is lovely .... super clean, tidy and very quiet and comfortable. I recommend Jana's place for sure and hope to be able to stay again when next in Portland. Oh, Natasha the kitty is delightful!

I LOVED my stay at Jana's. I stayed in the bedroom on the main floor, and I had a private bath across the hall. This was my first time staying at an Airbnb alone, and I felt very safe and secure at her house. Jana's place is spotless. I usually have high standards for cleanliness, and she has definitely exceeded them. Jana herself is very friendly. She made me feel welcome while also letting me have my privacy. This was the perfect combination, as I tend to be on the introverted side. Natasha, the kitty, is also friendly. She greeted me a few times as I entered the house, but she mostly kept to herself. I can't wait to book my next stay :)

Jana's house is in a great area of Portland, close to everything but in a quiet neighborhood. She is a very helpful, accommodating and fun host. I will definitely plan on staying with her next time I travel to Portland.

To date, this was my best experience staying in an AirB&B! Jana's house is gorgeous, spotless, comfortable and a great way to experience staying in a craftsman style house in the PNW. Her places was conveniently located to the Alberta Arts district, where I did most of my hanging out. She was a warm, kind host! Check-in was extremely easy. I enjoyed chatting with her about Portland and beyond, hanging out on her porch swing, her adorable cat Natasha. Don't miss the Peninsula Park Rose Garden, which is just down the street! I would definitely stay here again!

Jana's place is fantastic, and Jana is too! I loved my stay during a long weekend trip to Portland. Jana was home to greet me when I arrived and gave me a quick tour of the place. She also had numerous suggestions for places to visit in and outside of Portland. My only regret is that I didn't get to see more of the state. Throughout my adventures, it was comforting to know I had a wonderful homebase to come back to each evening. Jana made me feel right at home, and the amenities were topnotch. The bed was comfy, and I enjoyed having my own bathroom. Additionally, the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Street parking was easy, if you have your own vehicle. I would highly recommend Jana's place to anyone traveling to Portland and/or Oregon in general! I hope to make it back sometime soon, and I hope Jana's place is available when I do.

I should be around during your stay to answer your questions. I sometimes work from home during the week for the local wine industry and am happy to share what I know about touring wine country, in addition to providing tips on local bars, restaurants, boutiques, etc.

About Jana

Wish airbnb had existed back in the day when I had more time to travel! Staying in someone's home is a much better way to authentically experience a city and meet interesting people. My favorite things to do when traveling are to walk around, take in the sites and people, and enjoy the local cuisine and culture. I've lived in Berlin, London, Brussels, Washington DC, Baltimore, and now call Portland home. I love spending time in Europe, on the East Coast visiting friends, exploring my backyard in the Pacific NW, and am hoping to visit SE Asia soon. I recently returned from a trip to Turkey and Italy. I rent my house on Airbnb while I'm traveling and enjoy using Airbnb whenever I can. I work for the Oregon wine industry and am a food and wine aficionado.
