Historic Victorian shotgun camelback. Recently renovated. Spacious. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Ideally located 1 & 1/2 blocks from the Garden District streetcar stop. Central location, great walk-ability. Comfortable & charming.

The space

Our home is a Victorian shotgun camelback double built in 1861. Somewhere down the line it was converted into a 4-plex but it still retains many of the architectural flourishes that make New Orleans homes so charming. This apartment is approximately 800 sq ft and can comfortably sleep up to 3 people. The neighborhood is very walk-able and we're just over a block from the streetcar.

Guest access

This lovely one bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a private entrance is perfect for a romantic getaway. Enormous pocket doors, high ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the porch are just a few of the architectural details to delight the eye. The newly renovated kitchen is ready for those nights you want to stay in. The living room is large and comfortable with satellite TV, WiFi and a sofa bed. The bedroom has a super comfy memory foam queen size bed. Bathroom access is through the bedroom so it is more suited for a couple or a small family. High quality linens and towels are provided. There is a washer and dryer on the premises, shared between three rental units.

Interaction with guests

The apartment is completely private. My husband and I live in another unit in the building. Usually either he or I will meet you at check in to show you around the property. We are also available (when not at work) to answer questions and give recommendations.

Please keep in mind that this is a residential neighborhood. Please respect our neighbors and keep the noise levels down, especially between the hours of 9 pm to 9 am.

People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight on the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Day guests are limited to 3 people.

Parties and/or drugs are NOT allowed.

If Guests do not abide by the rules, all rental fees will be forfeit and the Guest party will be required to leave the premises immediately.

Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not move the furniture.

Only use appliances for their intended uses.

Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please dispose of accumulated trash in the garbage bins at the front of the property. Please wash dishes and wipe down kitchen surfaces regularly. If you like, we will be happy to arrange for housekeeping services during your stay at the Housekeeper’s going rate.

The fireplaces are not operational.

Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be charged damages.

Corinna is awesome and her place was just perfect. It's just 1.5 blocks away from St. Charles streetcar line which could not be more convenient when you're toting a capricious 18 month old. The place is super cute and classic new orleans style. Very spacious, high ceilings, has has a clean fridge and all the silverware you need to stay like its your place. Free netflix on their account to distract the kiddo. Gate in front of the place if he wants to run around. Very importantly, they have off-street parking. Anywhere residential in new orleans is a risk for your vehicle getting damaged from late night inebriated drivers or just bad roads.. theirs is across the street and private. All in all great, hope to stay there again.

Couldn't recommend more highly! Corinna made the experience seamless. The place was clean and well stocked for eating in and kicking your feet up. Nice little touches like complimentary coffee and reading materials. Corinna would check in every so often to make sure everything was satisfactory. Laundry on site. Fabulous! The apartment was ideally located. So many great stores, cafés and restaurants around. Across from a well-stocked convenience store and close to grocery stores. Moments from the St. Charles St. tram. Walking into the downtown was a breeze. We rented bikes which I would highly recommend! The apartment is a short walk to Lafayette cemetery and the extremely hip magazine street. Corinna and Michelle have a welcome booklet outlining everything you need.

Corinna was fab from the get-go! We weren't sure what time we'd be arriving but she was really flexible. They also helped sort parking for our van which we often find difficult to park in cities. The apartment was lovely and in an ideal location for a NOLA visit.

This was yet another amazing Airbnb experience for me. The apartment is located in a wonderful Garden District neighborhood from where I could walk to the convention center to attend the conference I was in town for. There are lots of really cool restaurants and bars around that render going to Bourbon Street completely unnecessary and a step back really for those of us who value cleanliness. I loved the clean, remodeled apartment that is situated in the kind of historic building that can be found all along the St. Charles corridor and the great neighborhoods surrounding it. Corinna and Michele are great hosts and very much aware of what it takes to make their guests comfortable. There is no doubt that this will be my destination next time I go back to Nola....

Corinna and Michael were welcoming and more than accommodating upon our arrival and during our entire stay. The home is charming and very comfortable. Location is as described, St. Charles is just a block way to catch the streetcar and a few blocks from Magazine St. for dining and entertainment. Can't wait to get back to NOLA, this little gem will be our first choice for when we return.

We had a great experience. The apartment had everything we needed, and when we needed help with something during our stay, we texted Corinna and she responded right away. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was very clean. She even left some snacks for us on the table! We were able to easily walk a few blocks to Magazine Street for lots of restaurants. It was super easy and affordable to take an Uber home to the apartment at night after listening to great live music in the French Quarter or on Frenchmen Street. We would definitely stay here again if we get to go back to New Orleans!

This was the perfect place for us to stay in NO. The location is great- steps from the trolley that takes you across the city, an easy walk to Magazine Street, and in the middle of a lovely, walkable neighborhood. The house was immaculate, charming, and had everything we needed. Corinna was very responsive, and we especially appreciated that she was so accommodating about our check-in and check-out times, which made things so much easier. Highly recommended!
