Original 1990 settler Cottage situated in a Native Bush Setting close to small creek. Tui and Bell Birds abound and a feeder is set up on the deck from where you can sit and watch them feed. Wake up to the dawn chorus.
The Cottage is very private, set a short (5 minute) walk from owners house. Property is on a hill situated in 70 acres with Protea Plantings, Native Bush and lots of tracks to explore.
Hosts happy to drive guests up to cottage if their vehicles are not suitable. Off Grid.

The space
Second bedroom in separate building above Cottage with shower attached. The Cottage lounge has a day bed that coverts to a queen bed or two single beds. Access from owners house to cottage suitable for all wheel drive vehicle only. Host can drive guests and luggage up if required. Safe parking available at Hosts House.
Cottage is off grid on 12 volt solar power system. Composting toilet. Hot water is either Hydro Gas or from wet back fire. Small fridge, plus can supply a chilly bin and change slicker pads.
Guests need to be used to walking on hills. Wear suitable footwear. Limited cell phone reception. Vodaphone only.
Tea and Coffee (including plunger) and milk supplied. Muesli, plus a small selection of breakfast cereals supplied. BBQ available. Please do not attempt to clean BBQ in kitchen sink or laundry tub. Just let Tom know you have used it and he will clean it.
There is no extra cleaning charges but we expect you will leave the cottage as clean and tidy as you found it.

Little River is a small friendly Country Town. 1,000 permanent residents. We have two coffee shops in town, 2 Modern Art Galleries, Historic Railway Station and local Craft shop, Craft Co-operative, Vet, Service Station, and CCC Service Centre. Our local pub is being upgraded with plans to reopen, so evening meals are not available at present.

2 mountain Bikes, plus full suspension E mountain bike and 2 Sea Kayaks available for hire. Transportation available at extra costs. Enquire on booking.
Property has commercial flower (mainly protea) and foliage plantings, plus native bush and forestry plantings.
