Martina's flat is a great location for exploring Munich city. The metro is nearby so that you get to the city centre within a short time (but the basic shopping needs for food can be fulfilled within a five minutes' walking distance, and there are a lot of very nice boutiques nearby). I for myself walked about 20 minutes every day to the TU Munich, which is located next to the Alte Pinakothek. The flat is tiny, but was very clean and cozy. For me, it felt as if I was just staying at a friend's home. Those with light sleep should think twice whether to stay here, as the tram and many cars are passing the street and I would not recommend to sleep with open windows. For me, it was fine with closed windows, but I tend to fall asleep easily and then sleep like a log. Communication with Martina was great, she was very responsive and handing over of the keys was very well organized. All in all, I can fully recommend Martina's flat for a stay in Munich. :)

I did not personally meet Martina, but her sister was there to let me in. Keeping contact was easy and she always answered quickly to my messages. I was amazed by the cleanliness of the apartment, and it suited perfectly for my needs. Only two blocks to the closest u-bahn and in no time you are in the city center. The area is beautiful with all the old buildings. I had no problems sleeping well, even with the tram driving by, but if you are not used to the noise it makes, it might disturb you. If I need to come back to Munich, I would love to come to Martina's again!

The location of the flat is good and there are trams, bus and trains very close by. There are a few cafes close by and a couple of supermarkets. Martin was very nice and friendly both before we arrived and when we got there. She was heading off herself just after we arrived so we only saw her briefly. Unfortunately we were given no information about either the immediate area or Munich overall as a city. We had to spend the first half of our first day trying to find out how to get around, what to see and do and it was quite hard to find nice places to eat locally. A real problem for me was the noise, I had to wear earplugs every night, the trams and bus run directly outside and there is almost no noise reduction with the windows. On the Friday night of our stay the neighbours directly above us had a party and on the Saturday night the neighbours directly beside us had a party. The one on Saturday night was still going strong at 2.30 in the morning!

Response from Martina:
Hey Elaine!I´m sorry for that. Thats a special situation, that my neighbours are making party so often. Maybe it depends on the Halloweentime and the free day...I´m sorry that you felt not really good informed. I told you so many things about the metrosystem, the city and restaurants or shops nearby you can go and left you a city map. I was even searching for the best way and times, you can arrive from that special airport far away from munich to my house and answered a lot of questions before. So it makes me a little bit sad that you felt not really informed. I´m just offering my flat, but I´m no tourist guide or travel agency...Maybe you understand that wrong. Nevertheless I wish all the best for you and your daughter and hope that you enjoyed the time in munich!

Great apartment and Martina is very nice! She was nice enough to meet us late at night because our late train ride. there's a main bed and a sofa that can fold into a bed. she has all her stuff in the room, so you may not be able to use closets and shelves, but it didn't bother me. oktoberfest was great too! thanks

It's a very nice, warm and cosy appartement at a calm neighbourhood! It completely corresponds to Martina's description. Very close to the historical centre of Munich (20-30 min. on foot). There is also a tram and a metro station very close to the appartement (2-3 min. on foot). Martina is a very good host. She was always available for questions and indications! Thank you very much Martina! Bis bald! :)

Martina was very friendly and accommodating esp. for our check out time, which we much appreciated. The large window looked out onto the street and as it was an upper floor apartment, we got lots of light and a good view, without any street noise disturbing our sleep. There was a washing machine with a drying rack. There was enough room for us to unpack and still move around. The kitchen had a table and all the things to fix ones meals. The apartment was clean, but as it is Martina’s home, there was a lot of personal stuff around and not many places to hang one’s coats up. If this is a problem, then you might want to find another place. We found its location to be very good, right in the city, with access to the railroad station, UBahn, restaurants, cafes, bakeries and food markets. The next door neighbors had at least one small child that liked to cry very early in the morning, and it was hard to sleep past 6AM during the week and 7 on the weekend. Otherwise it was a good place to stay and very reasonably priced.
