New modern guesthouse with A/C, kitchen & BBQ on our peaceful rural property. Central location to visit Waitomo, Hobbiton, Hamilton Gardens. Picturesque views over berry gardens, mountains & countryside from the cosy self contained cottage where tariff includes all linen. We love hosting families (babies & children welcome). Max 5 guests (incl infants). Just off the state highway & 5 minutes to Te Awamutu shops & restaurants. EV charger.

The space
Please enquire for dates further out. Our private guest accommodation has sweeping country vistas, overlooking Mt Pirongia, a Berry Picking Farm and cattle grazing paddocks. Completely renovated, the self contained guesthouse has toasty warm or cool air conditioning, new pocketsprung beds, filtered water, stove, microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, instant gas hot water & insect screens to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen has all utensils for cooking. Explore the gardens and hobby orchard or pop next door to pick your own fresh berries in summer and autumn.

The cottage is compact yet fully self contained with kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms plus an outdoor decking area with outdoor table & grill and safe off street parking. There is indoor dining seating for 4, plus a 2 seater couch with a fold out inner sprung single bed, best suited for a child. Amenities include TV, fridge and freezer, convection oven/microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, nightlight, hairdryer. A highchair, cot, baby bath & toys are available. Electric vehicle charging available (fee). Washing machine & dryer (fee) at host's house. Outdoor security cameras operate on the property.

Children will love the trampoline, swings & big green garden space to explore. Please contact the hosts if you would like to interact with the friendly pet chickens.

Long term guests are welcome, please enquire.

This handy location is only 10 mins from Hamilton Airport, 5 mins to Te Awamutu township (restaurants, supermarkets, pools), 40 mins to Waitomo Caves, 10 mins to Mystery Creek Field Days, 20 mins to Hamilton Gardens, 20 mins to Lake Karapiro water sports, 40 mins to Matamata Hobbiton Movie set, 1h 20min to Rotorua or 1h 45min to Taupo, 2h to Auckland, 1h 20 mins to Tauranga, 2.5h to ski slopes.

Locally there is a fabulous walkway around the peat Lake Ngaroto, Yardleys Bushwalk through ancient Kahikatea trees. Sanctuary Mountain, the ecological island is home to Tuatara, Kiwi, Takahe and native birds.

Not to forget our neighboring farm for fresh raspberries, blackberries, boysenberry picking in summer/ autumn and real fruit ice creams year round.

Hi, our names are Liz & Martyn & we live on a fabulous lifestyle property in the quiet & lush Te Awamutu countryside. We have a hobby orchard, often selling produce at the local farmers market or making delicious jams & award winning preserves. We are lucky to live close to a lake to indulge our waterskiing passion. We have enjoyed travelling and look forward to sharing our little piece of paradise with guests.
