Fantastic location to take a break from your usual travels. Right around this period is the tea harvest (learned from Chikae-san) so the scenery is beautiful. Chikae-san also drove me around, showing me her town and also to the onsen just a hop over. We also shared meals together with her mom, who was very generous with portioning food! All in all, I had a fun time at Ieyama.

We loved our 2 day stay in Ieyama and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway off the beaten track. Chikae was a fantastic host and really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The place itself is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's a quiet town but if you like tea, biking and hot springs this place is for you!

Ms. Chikae is a nice and kind hostess. She came pick me up at Ieyama station, which made me arrive at her house easily. She also showed me around at her neighborhood before we got to her home, which made me know the nearby places. We had a great conversation during our late tea time. She was kind to offer me free breakfast when she made hers. The house is spacious, beautiful and clean. It's very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay.

My friend and I stayed for 3 days 2 nights at Graham & Chikae's. It was cold and rainy but Chikae picked us up at the station and showed us around. Ieyama is simply amazing. It's a really beautiful and quite place. They also have a lot of really cool places nearby. You can take the old trains to go there. On our first day there, Chikae offered us to go to a nearby onsen together but unfortunately we couldn't go. But before leaving, she prepared dinner for us and we had dinner together with her mother. It was really nice to get to know them. Chikae is a really kind person. She really takes care of her guests and help us with almost anything. Graham and Chikae's place was really clean and homie. We had our own space. Big Japanese style room with our own living room. They also have kayaks and bikes that are available to be used whenever we want to. We had a really pleasant stay in Ieyama and would love to go back again. Thanks for everything Chikae. Hope to see you again one day! :) Cheers, Erika

Chikae 's place is so quiet and spacious. Homey! As we have infant with us, neighbourhood just simply love him. old folks in that place are really friendly. Tea plantation is all over and it looks beautiful too. Well, having that tea tasted is a whole lot better. And the pond, wonderful place also for coffee.
