Location

Cheney Longville, England, United Kingdom

We are set in a hamlet which dates back to 1394. Ancestors of the original landowners still live in the village and take an active interest in the community.

There are plenty of scenic walks around the area and the Long Mynd stretch of hills is within easy access.

There is no shop or pub in our hamlet but the town of Craven Arms is only 2 miles away. It has a well stocked supermarket, post office, bakery and a few cafes and takeaway restaurants.

The village of Wistanstow is only a couple of miles by road or a 20 min hike across the fields . It has its own brewery attached to the local pub The Plough and a village shop.

The medieval town of Ludlow, is a mere 15 mins drive and has a regular market, lots of independent shops and restaurants. Ludlow is renowned for its locally sourced organic food and hosts two food festivals every year.

Church Stretton is a pretty market town only 6 miles away and makes a great base for walking up to the summit of the Long Mynd.

We are a semi retired couple who used to travel frequently on business and stayed with many AirBNB hosts all over the world. We learned to appreciate all the small things that make a difference when staying away from home and decided to become hosts ourselves. We recently moved to Shropshire and renovated a barn into a unique rural getaway. We now look forward to welcoming guests and hope you will visit us soon
