This is a nice apartment in a great location for exploring CDMX's amazing El Centro. Julia and her partner were friendly, interesting, helpful and ready to chat if I wanted. I found myself wanting my own bathroom and a little more quiet (the guest bedroom door is very thin), so I moved to another apartment. For someone who wants a room in a great location with friendly hosts and doesn't mind the shared bathroom, etc., this is a great value.
Great location, in the heart of the historical center and quick &/or practical access to all neighbourhoods. Julia was very nice and very helpful for everything. Very grateful for her care, right after the terrible earthquake happened. The room is simple and practical. Shared bathroom and kitchen.
Pilar's apartment is centrally located and an excellent spot to access many things in the Historical Centre. All walking distance. She helped me with the taxi from the airport to the apartment even though she was out of town at the time. Her daughter was staying at the apartment and she was very friendly.
Pilar, Axel (her son) and Julia (her daughter) were more than friendly and made us feel comfortable! It is very well located if you want to stay in the Centro Historico and close to major attractions and restaurant. I stayed there with my boyfriend and the room was a little small for two people (normally its for 1 person in the add), but it was ok since we wanted to spend our time outside. Axel cooked for us one night and it was the best mexican food I have ever had! The only thing is that our host (pilar's daughter) smoked cigarette in the apartment, which can bother non smokers. Overall I would recommend pilar's place if you wanna have a total mexican experience :)
