Guest access

When you book through Property Providers you are booking with a professional property management agency rather than an individual homeowner or personal host. Key collection/return for the property will be from our offices which are located at 3/536 Sydney Rd, Seaforth unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking. Standard check in time is from 3pm and check out is 10am unless agreed otherwise in writing. For check ins/outs outside of office hours, instructions will be given on how to access our safe.

Interaction with guests

Our offices are open Monday - Friday 8.30-5.30 and we have a phone number that you can call 24 hours a day 7 days a week in case of emergencies - this number will be given to you when you come to pick up keys or can be found on our website.

Other things to note

For the comfort and health and safety of our guests, all properties are supplied with 5 star hotel linen and towels that is professionally laundered. Guests will be charged $44 per bed which is to be paid prior to gaining access to the property. We will call you to take this payment after you have booked the property.

The location was fantastic. Right by the beach at Balmoral. The flat was fine but not well serviced. A bit tired in places - particularly the blinds had seen better days - but it was fine. Also the Foxtel was not connected and the remote was missing and only provided a week in. We had to replace the lightbulbs on arrival in both lamps in the main bedroom and clean loads of empty bottles and boxes out of the pantry. The place was not cheap so you expect these details sorted. Our experience of the letting agency was extremely disappointing. There was a conflict between the Airbnb cancellation policy and the agency's policy in "Don's House Rules". We wanted to cancel part of the stay and thought we'd be able to do this based on "Don's House Rules" but when we asked a day before we arrived and again on arrival they said all they could do was put a post-it note on someone's screen in the office. When we pushed harder on this days later, they changed their tune but we had lost valuable time by that point to relist. At the flat, the night we arrived, out of hours for the agency, we found that all the crockery, cutlery and cookware was either really dirty or wet (just put in the cupboard wet after a cursory washing up). Yuk! Fine to have a policy of guests leaving the place in a decent state but it seemed that the agency had not checked this was the case before we checked in. We raised all this with the agency the next morning and we were basically given the standard "thanks so much for your feedback - it will help us provide a better service in future - have a nice stay". No apology or suggestion they would be doing anything about anything. I then sent a very angry email saying I thought the service was lousy and what were they going to do about it. Then to be fair they seemed to wake up and apologised about the conflicting cancellation policies and said they would "speak to the manager" about waiving the cleaning fee. We have chased a couple of times about the cleaning fee and still haven't been told the upshot weeks later. To my mind if you are letting property out for good money and it is in a dirty state when guests arrive, you should be apologising profusely and offering some recompense right away. The whole approach felt like "take the money and run". I would recommend the property but not if the same agents are running it. This is my fourth Airbnb experience and my only bad one to date. I think I have probably only ever given unqualified five star reviews but it was really poor this one.
