The Dunedin Museum of Natural Mystery is a small private Museum very close to the center of the city with accommodation for singles or couples. The Museum is only open to the public on Fridays (12pm-5pm) and weekends ( 10am-5pm) but guests can stay any night of the week. Guests have their own area at the back of the house. Note that the occasional Museum visitor may want to use the toilet during Museum opening hours and the owner might want to fill up his kettle in the kitchen.

The space
This is a real working Museum containing both skulls and early examples of African and Pacific art. If you are easily frightened this listing might not be for you but I promise the house is NOT haunted! Guests have their own private room with a queen size bed and a TV monitor with WIFI and Netflix provided. The recently renovated bathroom has a bath/shower and gas hot water. The kitchen has a fridge, oven and microwave. As stated above guests have their own area at the back of the house but during Museum hours the occasional guest may use the toilet and the staff might use the kitchen to make a cup of tea.

During your stay

The Museum owner will be at the Museum desk while the Museum is open (Friday to Sunday from 10 - 5pm ). He will also be there to welcome guests but will staying in a house close by while they are visiting. If they would like a private tour of the Museum it should be easily arranged.
