An ideally located modern, 800sf active arts space/loft with 9ft ceilings, large windows, movable furniture, separate sleeping quarters, bathroom with a shower, and a kitchenette, which is only rented out in the summer. There is an outdoor space with a bench, table and chairs, separate entrance, and easy accessibility to many urban amenities. Completed in 2019, this is a unique space that combines the aesthetics of a loft-like creative space and the practicality of a modern living quarters.

The space
Active arts space that is only rented out in the summer. During the rest of the year, the space is used as a theatre and music rehearsals and performances venue for both the owner's own projects as well as those of the wider Portland arts and performance community. The living quarters, separated by a heavy theatrical curtain, are used to host visiting artists during the fall and winter months. There is an interesting lighting scheme in the space, exposed concrete, steel, and wood, and while the space functions as a creative venue, it has all the amenities of a live-in modern loft - large bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette, gas fireplace, etc. In other words, the space combines creativity with practicality, and is designed to serve that double purpose without compromising either one.

Guest access
The entire space is for the guests. As well as the outdoor patio.

Great walkable neighborhood with restaurants, coffee houses, stores, movie theatres, and other urban amenities reachable by foot within minutes. The neighborhood, Sullivan's Gulch, is an urban mixture of old, turn of the century one-family houses and
newer apartment buildings, and it is one of the closest neighborhoods to downtown.

A native Swiss, having lived my entire adult life on the west coast. I am an early musician, playing in a variety of groups. You may hear music coming from upstairs during your stay. I have hosted guests and managed properties for a long time, internationally and locally. Having worked as a tour guide, worked in hotels and done real estate, I am pretty familiar with all aspects of traveling and hosting. We are looking forward to having you as a guest.
