Troy User Profile

My name is Troy, and I am of mixed Métis Aboriginal heritage in Canada. I wear many hats, from hiking guide and entrepreneur, to artist/storyteller, nature-based educator, and unconventional academic (arts and cultural history). I love sharing about all these things, as they each comprise aspects of what I am most passionate about: the arts, culture, and nature.

I split most of my time between the Canadian Rockies and Vancouver Island, but have also lived and travelled around Europe, South America, and Australia. I'm the kind of traveller who likes to really sink into a place when I'm there. Other than shorter getaway trips around North America, I have seldom travelled to a place for less than three months. I love getting off the beaten path, meeting locals, and making an adventure of it. I can also appreciate what cities and crowded places have to offer. I just don't usually stick around them long.

I will more than likely be at the wilderness centre to greet and welcome you, should you choose to visit this beautiful part of the world. It is the place I call home. And should you choose to sink into this place for a bit of a longer stay, we may also cross paths on a hike, rafting trip, retreat, workshop, or event I might be facilitating here at the time. I look forward to meeting you!
