Recently refurbished, delightful country cottage on a working sheep and beef farm located 12kms from Waipukurau. Paratu Cottage is in a very quiet location with the option of strolling over the farm for the more energetic. Basic pantry items supplied in the cottage AND a Nespresso coffee machine.
Winter Heating- There is a log burner in the cottage that will heat the whole house. There is also plenty of firewood on hand to keep it going for you, for colder weather.

The space
The whole cottage is yours for your entire stay.
We will also have a bottle of wine and a couple of beers for you in the fridge. There is also a container of cereal and milk supplied if you don't quite get to the supermarket on your way through.
Please note that bedroom two has two king single beds with trundles (one a pop up and the other a pull out) under each bed. If you wish to use the trundle beds they will need to be pulled out and placed elsewhere in the cottage. There is also a double pull out sofa in the lounge. Although this is a double bed it would suit only ONE adult or two small children.
The space caters easily for 4-6 people, however if you wish to have 7 or 8 people this can be arranged, you will be quite cosy though.

Guest access
For the more energetic guests, walking over the farm can be arranged. Not available during lambing season, approx end of July to end of August.

Other things to note
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only. Not available during lambing season. We are a working sheep and beef farm and will have farm dogs housed nearby, they are very friendly and will want to come and see you. All pets must be up to date with worm drenching. We also are 3.6km along a gravel road.
I do have other pets (goats, chooks, sheep) that love to be fed and given lots of pats and cuddles.

Lovely tramping tracks are less than an hour away, in the Ruahine and Kaweka Ranges. A newly opened mountain bike park is at the end of the road and there are lots of walking and cycling trails along the Tukituki river.
