About this listing
Our apartment is in a renovated 1925 brick building. We have an open floor plan with lots of windows, a working fireplace, comfortable furniture. Since the building is older, there is no elevator. We live on the second of four floors. IMPORTANT! We have a friendly orange cat who stays in the apartment even when we're not here. If you stay at our place, we might ask you to feed him once a day.

IMPORTANT! We have a cat who stays in the apartment even when we're not here. Guests who rent our space will be expected to feed him once or twice per day.
Our neighbors are used to relative quiet, especially after 10pm. No parties, no smoking please. This is our home -- we live here when we're not renting it, so please take care of it as if it were your own.

I have passed the half-century mark in number of years on the planet! I am married to my best pal for over 25 years, and we have one fabulous daughter, Rachel who is currently a college student in Boston. We live in New Haven CT home to Yale University. I have worked at Yale since 2008. Five things I can't live without: friends, family, coffee, music, basil! Favorite destinations: Wellfleet on Cape Cod, Italy, Ireland, New Orleans, California. Favorite books - too many to count, but recent favorite is Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann. As a guest and host, I am thoughtful, neat and clean, curious, and gracious. Love to travel off the beaten path (but not TOO far off...) Life motto: TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME! ;)
