Mariann’s chalet is a perfect home to spend time in Gimmelwald. The house was very clean and comes with views you won’t believe. When I return I hope to stay here again.

I don’t know where to start! The views both from inside and outside are superb! Marianne answered all my questions quickly. The house is beautiful...cozy but roomy. The kitchen is stocked with spices and coffee. There was clothes washing detergent and drying lines in the basement. The nights were quiet except for the sound of waterfalls! I would like to return for a week! I love it!

Wonderful views from a spectacular, quiet setting! Mariann's house was very clean and extremely well equipped with kitchen utensils, supplies, spices, and baking needs. Really, she has thought out everything so well for her guests. I had left my U.S. power adapter at our previous location; so I was really impressed that she even had one of those in a drawer with electrical adapters. Thanks, Mariann, for sharing this treasure of a retreat with us!

Pictures do not do Chalet Max justice. If you are looking for front-row seating to the Alps, this is the place to be. Mariann has thought of just about anything you will need. The walking sticks were especially helpful and the kitchen was well equipped. Whether it be a day of hiking or just sitting on the patio to read a book, Max will lead the way to a great vacation.

For me this is the most perfect spot to vacation. The natural beauty is unmatched. The porch overlooks the the Jungfrau range and the sound of the mountain streams is a constant soothing companion. Any type of outdoor activity is either right out the door or a quick cable ride away. If you prefer quiet and contemplative activities, the porch and patio provide a quiet retreat with the Alps seeming to be right in the backyard. The house is meticulously clean and organized. The bedroom windows overlook the Alps. Just bring yourself and groceries. Anything you need to cook is here. At the moment this is my favorite spot to sit and absorb the scenery of anywhere I have been in the world.
