About this listing

This house is perfectly situated between trendy and artistic Grünerløkka, multicultural Grønland and the city centre. It is a unique stable conversion with a lush patio garden. The vintage and eclectic interiour gives the house lots of character.

The space

This is a cottage like house in the heart of Oslo. Its central location and quiet and green garden within a gated block makes it quite unique. It was built as a stable, but was converted to a two storey townhouse in 2011. On the ground floor You'll find kitchen/diner/livingroom in one open space and there are 2 bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. The stairs are pretty steep so this house so it's not perfect for people with disabilities or very small children.

Guest access

My guests will have access to the whole flat.

Interaction with guests

Since I'm renting out when I'm traveling myself I will not be there, but I'll be available on e-mail and telephone.

My favourite Airbnb experience - would highly recommend. Beate was an excellent host, her beautiful townhouse was as exactly as described and on the border of a very cool neighbourhood.

Beate and her place are both so lovely! Great location close to the Botanical Gardens and the cool Grunerlokka area. Only 15 min walk from the centre of Oslo, but also very easy to get the tram/bus. Lovely house with a cosy feel to it and everything we needed. Beate is very friendly and welcoming, and was happy to answer any questions that we had - both before and during our stay. Top notch! Would definitely recommend!

What a great find. Such a perfect base for our 3 night trip. In a very quiet neighbourhood but within short walking distance of some fans bars and restaurants. House was beautiful and perfectly presented. I am sure we will be back.

Beate's home is beautiful and Beate was a fantastic host. Everything was really easy and straightforward, she left loads of great tips for what to do around Oslo too. The house is about 10 mins walk from the central station and everywhere else was in easy walking distance although there is the bus and tram just minutes away from the house if you want to get there quicker. Beate's home was a perfect compliment to visiting Oslo in the winter, as soon as you stepped inside it was warm and cosy, with beautiful candles and fairy lights .I would highly recommend it... and a return trip in the summer is high on my wishlist! Thank you very much Beate for having us to stay.

We stayed in Beatie's lovely little townhouse in Oslo. It was comfortable and well equipped. The location is very convenient, within walking distance from central Oslo and fun neighborhoods. Beatie's recommendations were great, and she was an attentive and accommodating hostess. Our only comments: The stairs were fine for us but may be a little steep for some who are less mobile. Also, it was unusually warm when we were there and fans would have been nice, but we understand that is an issue only 1-2 weeks a year in July. Overall we were very happy with this cozy townhouse and excellent hostess!

We had a great time - the apartment was perfectly located - easy to travel by tram or bus into the city centre or to go to visit all tourist sites. There is a choice of small but well stocked supermarkets too - both of which are open early to late in the day. The location whilst central was quiet! When we arrived in Oslo we did have one small confusion about check in but that was sorted immediately - so not a problem at all. The apartment is very prettily decorated and has all the comforts things you need for an easy city break. Our host was helpful at every stage - and very welcoming. I'd really like to go back again!

I am a positve preschool teacher, head of a small child care. I love my urban life in my unique little home with my Cavalier King Charles spaniel, Tuva. My main hobbies are cooking, traveling and home design, Most of my furnitures are vintage and come from fleemarkets in Norway and abroad. I love Oslo and spend a lot of time (and money) on cafes and restaurants and I am happy to give you a few pointers on what to see and do in this charming city.
