The apartment was as pictured. The view from the deck is spectacular! We had a rental car and the apartment was easy to access and was a good location for exploring Cinque Terre. We did drive into La Spezia to catch the trains to explore Cinque Terre. It may be a bit more difficult to figure out buses into town if you don't have a car. Definitely check out the restaurant Vecchia Osteria which is a short walk from the apartment. One of the best meals we had in Italy and very reasonably priced. We went there twice for dinner!

Thank you Debra! I'm happy that you had a good stay and that you appreciated the house and my suggestions about the restaurants :-)

We had an excellent stay in La Spezia, very much thanks to the perfect location of Valeria's apartment (we came with our own transportation). The pictures say it all and the view is as breathtaking as you'd expect. That alone is worth every cent! As for amenities, the pictures are honest as well. The interior dates back to the seventies, but the place is clean (although not spotless). To us, that was absolutely fine as beds were comfy and the water was hot.

We had a lovely stay, the host was very responsive. Even though we did not meet Valeria herself, we were welcomed by a young man who gave us a tour and explained how everything works. Neighbourhood seemed very safe. I advise the place for people with a car. Its a short drive into La Spezia from where you can get the train or boat around Cinque Terre. The view is beautiful and we enjoyed breakfasts and dinners there.

Perfect setting for a visit to the 5 Terre and to the lovely beach of Venere Azzuro. The apartment/house is spacious and the view of la Spezia is just wonderful. The booklet with information for the guests (eg trains to 5 Terre) was very useful. Like others, we had some trouble finding the place. There is indeed a lot of orange plastic in the area

Valeria's place in LaSpezia has an amazing view of this seaside little city! The flat with its two bedrooms was plenty big enough for the three of us and has room to sleep more in the common living/dining room. Though we did not meet Valeria, she was readily available via internet messaging to answer any questions. The flat is about a 15 minute drive up a mountain from the train station, so you must rent a car to stay here. We utilized our need for a car by making day trips to Lucca and Piza as well as parking the car at the train station for our rail trips to the Cinque Terre. Parking in the city of LaSpezia is nearly impossible, but there is affordable parking at the docks for the ferry rides to the villages. If you like the freedom of driving to nearby towns on your own time table, then this flat is well suited for you. It is in a gated community, so we felt safe leaving the windows open to enjoy the constant sea breeze. Bring your tanning oil and a light sweater, you will need both!

Stunning view from the balcony!! Clean and wide apartment. Valerie is very helpful, she waited for us, even we arrived so late because we lost. But it is better to arrive there before dark, as the gate is quite hidden and you should be careful with the steps to the apartment.

Thanks Paulina, it was a pleasure for me to meet you
