Loved our stay! The kayak was lovely and the home is close to the lake, so we spent a lot of time there. Nancy was communicative and quick to respond to questions.

We took our family for a long weekend at the lodge. Nancy and two cute pups greeted us upon our arrival. This is the owners primary residence so if you have smaller kids there is things they can get into. We loved the upscale kitchen and all the pots and pans etc that were provided. The back porch off the kitchen was our main hang out place and is really a cool place to have breakfast or play a game. The shower in the master bathroom is huge. It was nice to hop in there after a long day of hiking. Cell service up there can be real spotty but she has a landline in the house for use or if someone needs to get ahold of you. If you are staying more then a few days there was no place in the bedroom to hang up or put our clothes in so be aware of that. The rafts were not available for use due to previous tenants getting holes in them but we did use the kayak. There is a great little place just down the road Nancy told us about to fish, swim and kayak. We never used the hot tub or had a campfire but the space for it is really cozy. I would suggest bringing box fans if you are in the bedroom on the 3rd floor or loft area as it can get warm up there. We had a great time with our kids and a lifetime of memories thanks.

Response from Nancy:
The Lodge is a beautiful airbnb rental and not a primary residence, the decor is for guests to enjoy like great books to read, binoculars, forest art, games, guide books, etc. There is no need for fans as there is central air conditioning throughout the lodge that these guests did not turn on (although it is usually very cool with out it 99%of the time!) There is a large hanging closet up in the loft and two wardrobes on the lower level to use. The hot tub seats six adults and the fire pit is huge and seats twelve people in chairs around it and the back deck has two large picnic tables, a two lounge chairs and a patio set as well as several Adirondack chairs. Cell voice service is 100% outside (and on the four decks) and messaging is 100% in the lodge, it is just voice that is spotty in the lodge.

Nancy's house is in a beautiful location with cathedral ceilings and views of the forest. Wonderful hiking trails and lakes are nearby, and the provision of Kayak, bikes, and large float for the lake was much appreciated. The outdoor gathering areas were much enjoyed, as was the beautiful weather. With the set up of the house, 4 couples can enjoy comfortable bedrooms with privacy. The upstairs loft has a wonderful view and comfortable beds for an additional 4. It is perfect for kids. The kitchen was extremely well appointed with a large kitchen range and an immense amount of pots snd pans, spices, and general kitchenware. The out door patio off of the kitchen was a favorite for wine and cheese. The worst part was having to go home!

Beautiful spacious home on multiple levels. We rented entire house since there were 8 adults and 4 children. Make sure all children are able to navigate stairs safely. Rooms are good size and beds comfortable. Make sure children are watched at all times since there are alot of owners personal items that within reach. Kitchen is huge and lots of cooking ware etc if you like to cook. Two BBQ's that were great. Several decks and comfortable chairs, fire pit, hot tub and ping pong. Lake is close by and beautiful. Get there early because it gets crowded. Nancy had a kayak to use. Lots of hikes for all ages and difficulties that are close by. Bring bug spray as there are mosquitos! Close to several towns and site seeing. Nancy kept in contact and gave a lot of information regarding home and area surrounding.

My entire family including two nephews, aged 2 and 4, had a fabulous time at the cabin. It is quite an impressive lodge with all the amenities you could want, located in a beautiful, scenic and secluded spot a short drive from Seattle. There is a great sledding hill for kids and adults adjacent to the house, and lots of snow for igloo building, snowshoeing and other snow play. Beautiful Lake Kachess is a few minutes away. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for snow cabins in close proximity to Seattle.

I love the arts, cooking for large groups, and just about every winter outdoor activity. I am from the east coast but after living in the North West for 24 years,I wouldn't live anyplace else. Family, friends, community, wild life and nature are what I hold most dear and couldn…
