At 5km from the first Champagne cave and 90km from Paris. The barn of "L'Hermite" is a little corner of paradise in the heart of the small country village a few steps away from the forest of "du Gault." The barn offers ideal comfort for 4 guests.

The space

The 70m2 accommodation is located on the first floor of a renovated barn situated in L'Hermite. The barn offers a large living area of more than 40m2, in which you can find a living room with a view of the forest and a corner kitchen and dining room. There is a bedroom with a double-bed and another bedroom with 2 single beds. (Baby crib is available upon request.) Spacious bathroom and separate toilets, a terrace and a garden.

The barn is adjacent to the owner's house, but it has it's own parking and own private access.

We had a lovely time staying at the apartment in the barn. The property was gorgeously rural and there was plenty to keep our toddler busy. The apartment is well equipped and it was great to get the personal touches of some local and homemade produce. We would love to stay again.

Deborah was a perfect host, warm and taking care on their guests, with some very good suggestions what to visit in the region. She welcomed us with a delicious home-baked cake. The barn has been renovated tastefully and with an exceptional balance of modern elements and leaving its old charm. We and our children felt at home from the first minute. And not to forget the big and lovely garden, where the children could play around, oneself lying in the hammock enjoying the quietness of the place.

Deborah is a warm and gracious host - she was very flexible with our change of plans and made us feel welcome from the onset. The barn is a wonderful place to escape and find relaxation in the Champagne region. We were able to visit several Champagne houses, explore the quaint towns in the area and return back to the barn to relax and enjoy the countryside. I would highly recommend Deborah's house to anyone visiting the region.

We had an amazing two-week holiday at Deborah's old country barn. Deborah was very welcoming for us and our two dogs. She has a super nice house and wonderful garden. Our two dogs could run around in the garden all day. There was also a big forest just around the corner where they could run around. I think they had a wonderful vacation to. The place is very central in the Champagne area so we have visited a couple of the champagne-caves. We are definitely coming back to Deborah's old country barn! Regards, Yarah & Kai

Deborah is a great host, she gave us a lot of advice and welcomed us with bread, jam and delicious chocolats. We loved this place, would definitely recommend it!

We had a lovely time at Deborah's place. Wonderful location, very nice place and, above all, a perfect host. She gave good advice, prepared everything (including toys, bed and chair) for our little baby and even surprised us with chocolate cake! We would absolutely recommend this place!

Great village location for a get away around champagne region. The barn doesn't feel like a barn and is very nicely renovated and there is lots of room for kids etc outside. As this is a holiday home there is no WiFi or TV, but that wasn't an issue for us because we were exploring the area all weekend. Would definately recommend and an excellent host.

De double culture canadienne et française , c'est avec passion que j'ai imaginé et créer ce gîte pour recevoir dans les meilleurs conditions mes hôtes et partager avec eux cette espace de verdure et de tranquillité si proche de Paris.

I'm from a mixed Canadian and French background. It's with passion and imagination that I have created and renovated this barn in preparation for my guests. I am pleased to share with others this green and peaceful area so near to Paris.
