An unplugged getaway. Box on the Hill is attached to the owners garage with its own private external access. Smoke free property. Fully vaccinated guests only please.

The space
The modern black box is freshly styled to get that relaxing vibe going on. The lounge fully opens up with a large stacking door to your own deck and dusk sky views. This a uniquely NZ escape to unplug (no wifi and limited cell phone reception) and slow down.

A kitchenette suitable for basic food prep is provided but not suitable for cooking (no stove). A BBQ is provided. Please do not bring any of your own cooking appliances. Raglan has many great cafes for eating out.

The accommodation is designed for a couple only stay - please no guests or children you during your stay.

We require all guests to be fully vaccinated.

Waitetuna Valley is only 30 minutes from Hamilton, 1.5 hours from Auckland and only 15-20 minutes from Raglan. When the urge to explore hits bush walks up and close to Mount Pirongia are a short drive away. Or head to Raglan surf beach for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, boutique shops and really good cafes.

Hi - we are the owners of Box on the Hill. The funky accommodation unit is built on the same lifestyle property as our home. It is such a beautiful spot we want to share it with travellers and couples looking to elope to get married. Box on the Hill opened for business in late 2019. The perfect spot for couples who enjoy the things we do - quiet, unplugged life, walks on the beach, great dining and a slow way of life.

Your hosts Liz and Jase also live on site but respect your privacy providing you with a lock box to access the key to your accommodation so you can come and go as you please.
The Box shares a wall with the owner's garage but it is not part of the house.
