Japan's spirit formed in its misty mountains and healing forests. You will experience both as you walk out the front door of this traditional farmhouse. A hike up the hillside takes you between a often gentle, but sometimes raging river and a dark forest planted on rice terraces that go back to the "Edo" period. Head the opposite direction to reach the Shinto shrine near the hot springs. You can enjoy cycling of this Satoyama area.

Lunch and dinner are available at less than restaurant prices, and are highly recommended.

Misugi village is hidden "Inaka" area. It is very quiet and peaceful place. There is a forest therapy (Shinrin-yoku) course nearby. If you want to try local restaurant and local onsen (hotspring), host will take you to there by car. About dinner, you can order BBQ set menu (2,420JPY/person) or Deer meat set menu (6,050JPY). Reservation is required.

Once, Misugi was the old capital of Ise country. Also, Msiugi was chosen as one of the Forest Therapy Bases which forest has a healing power for human proven by scientific evidence.
