We are renting a private room in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. This exposed brick room has queen bed, dresser and a night stand. This room can accommodate up to 2 people.

We are minutes walk away from the J train at the "Gates Avenue" stop. Your commute to Manhattan is a mere 15 minutes once you jump on the train!

I live in this fine apartment with another respectable roommate. We are both very clean and professional.

Aki made sure we had a smooth check in process, parking is relatively easy but you need to pay attention to signs and may have to move your car on certain days. The location is good, close to the subway and easy to get in and out of the city. Also Williamsburg which is nearby is very cool. The room is small and has no exterior windows. It was hot while we were there (June) and there are two fans but no airconditioning.

It was my first Airbnb experience and it was great! Akira was such an awesome, knowledgeable, and approachable host. His place was nice and is well documented based on the pictures. No surprise at all. Me and my friend had a comfortable stay and it felt like our own place. The area is quiet and safe. Akira's place was also very convenient to everything. There is a subway station (J&Z) which made our commute very efficient. The subway station is just 3-5mins walk from his place. Will definitely recommend to other people.

This was my very first time using Airbnb, and Akira made things extremely easy to follow both preceding and during my trip to NYC. Despite our massive flight delay, he maintained communication, responded quickly to messages, and was flexible with our check-in times. I am very picky with making sure the places I stay in are clean, and the room/apartment was just as advertised. His apartment has a nice, modern look and is well kept. We made our stay near the end of September, so the lack of air conditioning wasn't really an issue at all. I'd be more than happy to make another stay at his place on my next trip to New York!

Akira and his girlfriend were communicative and friendly. The apartment is in a great location of Brooklyn that we found incredibly safe. We were prepared to stay in a room without windows, but we were not prepared for the incredible heat, lack of airflow, and lack of privacy. The fan provided helped minimally and we woke up to the dehumidifier blowing hot air in the middle of the night. If you're looking for a low-cost option, this is certainly it, but be prepared for getting what you pay for.

Akira's place was certainly the best choice for NYC, considering everything tha others had already published at AIRBNB. Akira is a wonderful host and, when I am back to NYC, Akira's place will be again my choice. I fully recommend it. Just would like to thank him and his girlfriend for being so nice during the time of my stay. As previous comments at ARIBNB have supported me to choose Akira´s place, I guess that it is fair that I publish my own comment to support others. So, if I have to summarize my time in NYC and Akira's place in one word, it is "TERRIFIC". Thanks NYC and Akira for this new experience.

Aki's home in Bed Stuy was a great and affordable way to stay in NYC. Very conveniently close to the J train and a walkable distance to the C as well. Aki and his girlfriend were very sweet and accommodating and we were very pleased with our stay! I would warn anyone coming during the summer or high temps - it is very very hot in the 4th floor apartment with no AC (as advertised, of course!) - we had a fan in the room and a dehumidifier which helped, but phew- it was a hot one. Otherwise our room was nice and the bed was overall comfortable. We were provided nice towels and washcloths for our time staying as well, which was very appreciated. Definitely would recommend staying here if you're on a budget. Cute coffee shops and conveniently located by a Bank of America and Walgreens, and a great street food cart should you *need* a falafel plate at midnight like we did. :)
