This penthouse duplex apartment is on the top floor of a historic building with an elevator and accommodates 4-5 people. It has been fully remodelled, renovated, designed and tastefully decorated by owner in contemporary and oakwood furnishings & flooring in June 2014. All the modern comforts to make your stay memorable in this beautiful mountainscape.

On arrival, you will be greeted with a warm welcome, followed by a walk-through of my place and facilities, then a handover of the keys to let you enjoy my haven!

Located in the epi-center and heart of Chamonix, in the pedestrian streets just opposite the Post Office, Tourist Information Center and the Church.

Walking distance to all the shops, pharmacies, supermarkets, cinema, restaurants, bars, cafes.

Activities and night-life to suit all ages and groups.
10 mins walk to the train station
10 mins walk from the bus stop
3 mins to the ski slopes and cables/lifts
Plenty of free & paid public and covered parking places

By car: direct and easy access from the Autoroute Blanche (A40) from France and Geneva or the Mont Blanc from Italy. Nearest covered parking is Saint-Michel.

By plane, from the Geneva International Airport (88km), Shuttle transfer every day direct from Geneva to Chamonix.

By train, a train station is in the resort. TER and TGV connections from the station of St Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet located 20km.

Easy access to skiing and other winter sports, close to Centre Commercial Alpina, Montenvers Tram, and Planpraz Tram. Also nearby are Planards Adventure Park and Aigulle du Midi Cable-Car.

1st Level:

Open plan, cosy living room with flat screen TV, iPhone charger & Wifi internet. The double sofabed opens up to a full sized bed for 2 people.

1st Level: A fully equipped, modern kitchen (4-point induction cooker hob with extractor, washer dryer, double oven, fridge-freezer with water dispenser, microwave oven with grill function, Italian coffee brewer, electric kettle & toaster), dining area for 4-6 guests. Exceptional views of Chamonix and Brevent from the two juliet-style balconies.

2nd Level:
Full Bathroom in porcelain and oakwood decor with walk-in power jet shower (7 settings), stone-carved washbasin, hairdryer and plenty of storage and shelves.

2nd Level: 1 master bedroom with bedside table, ambient nightlights, 1 double bed (both are double sized 140x200cm) with storage drawers, double wardrobe and ironing board with iron provided. The 2nd bedroom has a single bed for 1 adult or 2 children, includes ambient nightlight and wardrobe.

There is plenty of storage within the apartment. There is also a ski locker in the basement.

Arrival by car:
Open air free parking is available opposite the Mediatheque.

Closest covered parking Saint Michel. The next closest parking spot is by La Petite Kitchen cafe on Rue Whymper road, diagonally opposite MacDonalds. Parking rates pdf on Chamonix webpage.

If you are arriving by car, you can follow signs for Saint Michel parking. You have to exit the car park via the bridge and walk to the apartment past the Church.

To make it easier for you and your family, you can unload your luggages at the building entrance. The closest you can bring your car to is the next-door Banque Savoie and Pharmacy. To do this, you need to turn into the slope road next to the Church at the roundabout near Saint Michel parking. Follow the road past the Church on the left until you come to the junction with the Pharmacy on the right and Irish Coffee bar is opposite left.

Between hours of 6-10am, the town square barriers are open. You can turn left into Rue Joseph Vallot at the cross roads after Hotel Alpina and drive straight to the building entrance.

Fabulous location, Lovely apartment, but terrible for 2 couples. 2nd bedroom is a farce, with a slightly larger than single bed with a poor excuse for 2 couch cushions (one of only 6" wide!) passing for a mattress. Completely unacceptable for a second couple and the owner apparently knows about it but wont fix either the description of the apartment, or the bed! Heaps of things were broken when we arrived. Concierge did his best to fix them. He was actually pretty helpful and good.

It is clearly advertised as accommodation for 5 people: 2 in the main bedroom, 2 on the doubles sofabed in the living room and 1 in the 2nd bedroom. It seems this was not explained to you properly by the concierge or you have misread the property description. I was not made aware of any breakages by the Concierge and I rely on the Concierge and pay them very high fees to take care of the property in my absence, including cleaning and fixing anything that is not working as reported by the guests or damaged by some guests. If issues are reported to me accurately, of course I do my best to fix them so that my guests enjoy their stay. Why would anyone want a bad review? So blaming the owner just because you heard someone's version of the situation is not very objective on your part.

We stayed in this property for a few days over Christmas 2015. After our stay I went back and re-read the description and reviewed the photos and believe them to be a good representation of the property. Mani was a very good host who did a lot to ensure we were comfortable and able to get into the property without issue. She was always prompt in her communication with us and did a good job of facilitating interaction with the actual property managers who met us onsite. The check in / check out process was very simple and very little needed to be explained. The property itself was fairly represented by the pictures. It was a very nice property with fully functioning furnishings, kitchen equipment, etc. We did not encounter any problems but it is important to note just how narrow the staircase is leading up to the second level. If there are large suitcases which need to be brought upstairs it can be a challenge and should be noted if you have difficulty navigating a narrow staircase. Also, the property is fairly small (though considerably larger than any hotel room)! It would be a stretch to host more than 4 people if there is any reasonable amount of luggage since the bedrooms are small and the downstairs living space is pretty small as well. That said, the storage situation is pretty good -- the bedrooms have decent closet space and under-bed storage and even the bathrooms have shelf space to store things so a small-sized family should have little problem being comfortable in this property. The ski locker is very helpful and easy to get to. The building is in a perfect location, which is what really makes this property shine. Truly right in the center of things, made getting to all the Chamonix activities very easy and quick. Ski lifts / buses are very close by, and there is even a ski rental shop with access to the rental area within a few steps to the front door. The building is in good shape, clean and includes a small elevator. Overall, we were very hopeful this property would help make our Christmas a memorable experience and we were not disappointed. The service level was very good, the property was in good condition, and the building was in a great location -- all of which provide the ingredients for a very good experience.

This apartment is fantastic! The location can't be best and it is clean and it was clean and had great views out all the windows. It was a little loud at night (just a few times) with people leaving the bars but it didn't really bother us much. Florence was the one who met us and got us settled on and she was wonderful, even though we ended up arriving several hours later than scheduled (we did text her to let her know in advance). We loved having a second toilet/bathroom in the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment!
