We look forward to welcoming you to your coastal getaway. Recently renovated, our home boasts traditional victorian features with a fresh and calm coastal feel.
Having spent the last 18 months renovating this home (our first- and hopefully last-renovation project!), love and hard work have been thoughtfully poured into every room. Our aim was to bring the home back to life, and create a calm coastal feel. We love to call this place home, and hope that you will enjoy it too.
The home comprises of 3 double/king bedrooms, and one nursery which is very large and has a cotbed and sofa which pulls out into a surprisingly comfortable double bed. Full capacity would therefore be 8 adults and one small child. The space is large and airy, with high ceilings and plenty of traditional features. We have a downstairs playroom (with a big basket of toys!) and bespoke wooden stair gates throughout. We also have a beautiful wood burner in the living room which you are welcome to use for cosy nights in; logs are out the front in the log store!
The recently renovated but traditional country kitchen is our favourite place to spend time... With a large farmhouse dining table and bifold doors leading to the south facing garden.
Guests will have full use of the entire home, access to sky television, wifi, unlimited use of "Ruby" the range cooker, and everything you would expect at home really! Please bring your own toiletries but fresh towels and toilet paper are, of course, provided.
Interaction with guests
We aim to interact with our guests as often or as little as they like. We want you to have everything you need, so please don't hesitate to be in touch! However we would like to respect your privacy and allow you to enjoy your stay without unnecessary interruption.
Other things to note
Should you wish to stay for a long period of time please contact us regarding special arrangements/pricing. Guests staying longer than 20 days will be required to pay an additional cleaning fee of £50. This is just to accommodate for the extra time required to bring the home back to the standard that our next guests expect.
We have a general no-pets policy however please feel free to contact us and we can make a discretionary arrangement.
Any other questions or things you will need to make your stay comfortable please don't hesitate to be in touch.
Generally speaking, if you treat the place as you would a friend's house, all will be well.
Our experience is that the people who choose to stay in our home are universally wonderful. There just a few things we wanted you to be aware of to ensure your stay is hassle free.
Please let us know about damage • Please let us know of problems immediately as we can't remedy issues reported later • We do not allow loud noise/parties/events – any complaints from our (awesome!) neighbors will result in immediate termination of your stay • Children and little babes use this home, so please do not smoke in doors. • Please leave the home neat and tidy.
My husband Nathan and I met backpacking in Honduras, way back in 2008. Since then, we have continued to satisfy our thirst for travel by planning regular trips and have have had the pleasure of staying in many welcoming Airbnb homes. Recently, having renovated our own property, we thought it would be lovely to share it with other good people like you while we are away. Our next adventure is a 2-3 months road trip through portugal and spain... with a newborn! Here goes nothing...
