This has been quite possibly our best experience staying at an apartment rental. Not only was the apartment exactly as described, but it looked even better in person than it did in the photos, something that is rare to find.
The apartment itself is located in one of the best areas in Downtown Budapest. Across the street there's a tram station, buses that go everywhere, and almost direct access into the subway system. It's also located in a highly-tourist area, with tour buses departing from just outside the apartment (literally).
When we moved into this apartment, we were actually wrapping up a two-week stay at the Le Meridien Hotel, just across the street. And, this apartment actually felt like being in a hotel. It even featured a huge walk-in closet with a safe!
Further, the host was so accommodating and nice that I would re-stay here just because of him. The furnishings and finishes of the apartment are exactly what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. And, the wi-fi speed there is top-notch, with over 30 mbps download speeds, which is rare to find in the city. This allows you to work remotely or even stream movies without a problem. Definitely a huge bonus.
I would absolutely not hesitate to stay at this apartment. All and all, it's quite possibly the best apartment available for rent in Budapest through Airbnb. We've rented a lot of places in the area, and throughout Europe, and you can't expect to find something better than this.
We will definitely be staying here again when we're back in town. The host went so out of his way for us that not only did he provide us with welcome packets of food and drink, but also a parting gift. You don't find that kind of service anywhere.
This is someone who's dedicated to the satisfaction of the people that rent his apartments. And it's such a rarity to find such a person in Europe. This is the kind of service that you would expect in America, but certainly not in Europe.
A top-notch experience through-and-through. Thank you so much for everything! Words cannot express how much we enjoyed the place.
