We are in a hillside development in the trees; each lot is 3 - 5 acres, lots of open space! We are at an elevation of 5600 feet, much cooler than Springdale and Zion, a refreshing place to escape the summer heat. Far from the noise off I-15, it is perfectly quiet here, a rare treat for many of our guests. There are few places you'll see as many stars at night as you will from our deck - day or night the views are stunning!
With easy access from I-15 between Cedar City and St. George, the Harmony Belle provides an enchanting and peaceful place to rest while you take in everything this part of the world has to offer. Our home is large, modern and immaculate, you’ll have plenty of room to relax and you’ll feel very comfortable and safe while you are here.

Guest access

We have a large home on two levels, with three guests rooms and three guest baths. If required there is a room on the ground floor with a handicap accessible walk-in shower. Please request if you need this room. One of the bedrooms can be made as two twin beds for friends or kids wanting their own bed – please request in advance.

We have extensive knowledge of the area and are happy to help you plan your activities. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home and use the full kitchen, barbecue, and deck upstairs where you'll enjoy our incredible sunsets on the Kolob Mountains! We provide a delicious and filling breakfast. Let us know in advance if you have dietary needs and we will accommodate you!

Interaction with guests

You’ll be hosted by a very friendly and well-mannered international couple (Australian and American) with lots of travel experience worldwide, so we know what you need to be comfortable in our home. We have friends and family all over the world and welcome international visitors. We have an extensive knowledge of the local area and can send you off in the right direction to enjoy the best Southern Utah has to offer. We love to meet our guests and share breakfast or a glass of wine on the deck in the evening. We are happy to help you plan your travel, book day trips and recommend our favorite spots. We work from home and are most always available if you have questions.

Other things to note

Our biggest request is that our guests be mindful that we live in a private neighborhood. The speed limit is 25 mph, and slower is better. Deer and people walking dogs and horses are often around the corner!
Smoking is okay outside on the decks.
We are off the beaten path, about five minutes off I-15, in the foothills of the Pine Valley Mountains. You can hike right from the house into the Pine Valley Wilderness area! The closest restaurants or grocery stores are 13 miles in Cedar City, so plan ahead and have dinner or buy groceries in Cedar City or St. George before arriving. Once you've booked we will send you a list of our favorite restaurants and lesser known hikes and places to visit, as well as detailed directions.
Please note we are an hour later than Vegas. You are welcome to arrive late in the evening as your travel plans dictate but it is best, if at all possible, to arrive in the daylight, it is much easier to find us as there are no street lights, and not too many street signs.

Our most important rule is that our guests be mindful that we live in a private neighborhood. The speed limit is 25 mph, and slower is better. There are about 17 homes all spread quite a ways apart on a mile-long gravel loop (makes a great morning run or evening walk!). Many neighbors enjoy walking their dogs and riding their horses and are often on the road. We don't want our neighbors to have any complaints about our guests. By making sure you are arriving at the RIGHT HOUSE before you pull into a driveway you’ll help us out greatly! We've had guests wake up neighbors in the past by knocking on their doors after dark and we want to be sure this doesn't happen to you. There are also lots of deer year-round. Beautiful to see from the deck, but not so pretty on the hood of your rental car!
Sorry, but this isn't a great place if you are looking for a party house. Family fun is okay, the yard is great for kids to explore, but no parties or events…
Smoking is okay outside on the decks, and well-behaved dogs are okay as long as you've let us know in advance.

We had an awesome time here! Wonderful hospitality and Paula was so accommodating to our late check in. Yummy breakfast and exquisite sunrise included (as well as great conversation!) We felt right at home and loved the decor. This place has everything. And the steam shower and sauna were absolute heaven. Multiple different canyons around the area within an hour driving and Paula had great recommendations for things to do. I absolutely recommend this place and plan on staying again next time we go adventuring in the area:)

Paula and Rob are wonderful hosts, very hospitable and our room was clean and cozy when we arrived. We had our own private bath and balcony to enjoy the amazing view. Breakfast was provided and very good. Paula went above and beyond by providing a detailed and informative list of local attractions and restaurants around Zion national park area, this was very helpful in making our weekend extra special. We had a amazing stay and we highly recommend them.

Really enjoyed my stay at Paula & Rob's place. Beautiful house (and big!), gorgeous quiet location overlooking the mountains. Rob was a superb host; he really made me feel welcome, shared his knowledge of the area, great conversation, set out breakfast for the other guests & myself ... He even went above and beyond and brought my laptop I had forgotten behind to the visitor center at Kolob Canyons. In short, highly recommended, would definitely stay again!

Paula' place is lovely! We had the entire basement to our disposal as well as the upstairs for breakfast and such. Very kind people and welcomed my dog without a problem. Though it may seem out of the way, it's beautiful views and cozy atmosphere is well worth it!

Wow! Brilliant hosts, gorgeous accommodation, amazing scenery. Paula and Rob have it exactly right in all regards. If you want company they are there, if you want to be left alone they do that too. Their home is lovely and the area is so nice we didn't want to leave. No, really. If there was a way we could have stayed we would have. We are so pleased we booked with them, such a shame it was our 'once in a lifetime holiday' or we'd be back at the drop of a hat.

Book with Paula and you will not be disappointed. One of the best Airbnb's we have stayed at. Comfy king size bed and lots of privacy in beautiful surroundings. Paula prepares a tasty breakfast as well! Thanks again, Paula!

Hi and Welcome to the Harmony Belle!

I am Paula, I own a marketing agency and work with varied clients in tourism, sports, arts, entertainment, medical and manufacturing. We provide brochures, advertising design and campaigns, branding and re-branding, promotions, and event planning for expos and galas. I'm also the associate publisher of an outdoor sports and fitness magazine and represent publications and playbills in the fine arts. We work primarily from home where we have a beautiful place overlooking the North entrance to Zion National Park called Kolob.

My husband Rob is from Australia and we love to travel. In the past several years we've visited Turkey, France, England, Argentina, Thailand, and taken numerous trips to Australia. In North America we've traveled to Montreal many times, Quebec City, San Francisco, New Orleans, Orlando, Washington DC, Salt Lake, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Denver. We met years ago when I was an exchange student to Australia, and magically rediscovered our long lost love for each other, married now and very happy.

Rob's background is in agriculture, and he lived and worked in the middle east for about a year in the 80's, representing a farm equipment manufacturer. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. in his youth, and most recently representing the World Federation of Hemophilia. He is an avid gardener and is a fantastic handyman and do-it-yourself-er, and keeps the house and gardens in perfect condition. He is also a great cook!

When we travel we prefer staying in B & B's, and want to open our home to you all to experience the same inviting hospitality we've experienced internationally.

We love meeting like-minded people and have friends from many places. We enjoy good food and wine, we grow many of our own vegetables, and prefer organic and fresh foods. We love the theater and symphony. We also enjoy sports and ski, hike, and bike, and we enjoy watching international tennis and Australian Rules Football.

We try to live simply and consciously. We recycle, compost, and re-purpose whatever we can. Our sheets and towels are line-dried in the fresh desert air.

We volunteer our time and resources to several international non-profits. Rotary International and the World Federations of Hemophilia as well as several local arts organizations are the charities we are actively involved with.

So that is all about us - we look forward to hearing about you, and making new friends!
